Review Guidelines

Any registered Cool Camping user may leave a review on coolcamping.com, provided contributions are submitted in a responsible manner and for lawful purposes only.

We acknowledge that camper interaction with campsite staff is an integral part of the holiday experience and welcome constructive feedback on customer service. However, we recommend personal issues or personal disagreements with site management should be taken up with the site directly in order for the complaint to be adequately addressed.

Campsite reviews are limited to 400 words maximum.

Reviewers should abide by the following rules:

  1. User reviews will only be accepted and published if the reviewer has stayed overnight at the campsite under review.
  2. Users are prohibited from posting reviews that use violent, coarse, sexist, racist, accusing, obscene, defamatory or threatening language.
  3. Users are prohibited from posting personal information that could be used to track, identify, contact or impersonate someone (e.g. name, address, phone number, email, or credit card details)
  4. Users are prohibited from posting any promotional material of any kind (including links/URLs) or other forms of solicitation.
  5. Users are prohibited from using their review of one campsite to critique other campsites listed on Cool Camping.
  6. Users are prohibited from using the potential publication of negative reviews as a means to make demands of a campsite owner (such as refunds).
  7. Users are prohibited from posting reviews that violate someone else's intellectual property, privacy/confidentiality, or personality rights.
  8. Users are prohibited from using the review of a campsite to critique the Cool Camping website and booking experience – reviews of our website and booking service can be submitted separately on the independent website trustpilot.com.

Campsite owners are permitted to respond to reviews:

  1. Campsite owners (or any other individuals employed by or affiliated with a campsite) are not permitted to review campsites, including their own.
  2. All campsite owners have the opportunity to respond to customer reviews for free via their account on bedful.com.
  3. Responses that comply with our guidelines will appear directly underneath the review in question.
  4. We cannot delete unflattering reviews upon request as this would compromise the reliability and impartiality central to Cool Camping.

All reviews and responses are checked individually by humans to ensure the abide by the above guidelines. Where genuine customers can be verified through their unique booking ID, a Verified Review badge is also displayed.
