Get here before it's gone; the pop-up site crAve Nature — stylized as such to reflect its hand-crafted and unique bell tents — has already appeared in Sussex, and has now made its way to Warwickshire, tucked away along the outskirts of the Ragley Estate. Conceptualised as a place for hard-working Londoners to retreat to, the travelling crAve Nature site makes sure it's accessible for those journeying from England's capital city, though remains nestled away in the heart of the countryside. It's a place to disconnect and unwind, far away from the pressures of the office but with carefully designed amenities that ensure a relaxing break.
The site successfully teams off-grid with luxury, a rare feat but one achieved thanks to host Ben pulling in the help of the talented people he's met through his life. Its stylish six-metre bell tents were crafted by senior interior designer Emma Kuhrt, an old school friend who went on to work for several of London's leading design studios. Each is outfitted with a comfortable double bed in a scenic, secluded woodland pitch, and suitable for couples — leave the kids behind for this one. It's almost certain that you'll have never seen bathroom facilities quite like this, either; roll-top copper baths by the father-and-son team Witt & Berg sit in private, converted rice horse trailers, accompanied by copper and brass composting toilets and bespoke handmade sinks from Ann Hitchcox Stoneware, the artisan who created a younger Ben's favourite bowl in his parent's kitchen. The jockey doors of the rice trailer can be opened up while still ensuring your privacy, allowing you to take a soak while simultaneously soaking in the picturesque greenery of your surroundings.
Though designed with work-weary Londoners in mind, crAve Nature is open to everyone, placing an emphasis on its visitors disconnecting from their day-to-day in order to reconnect with nature. Electric hook-ups are available, though Ben encourages visitors to leave their laptops behind in order to fully immerse themselves in their natural surroundings. Equally, while there are a variety of eateries and pleasant walks to embark on — from the restaurants and pubs in the market town of Alcester to strolls along the River Arrow — with organic produce hampers delivered by the site straight to your tent and gorgeous views across Warwickshire's rolling hills, crAve Nature intends to provide you with everything you need to unwind right on your doorstep.
