Review of Badgells Wood Camping
May 2, 2017, by Clynn
We had a lovely one-night stay amongst absolute carpets of bluebells; though the weather was changeable it was still a great visit. We're a couple and hiked in from a nearby train station. Once we set up camp we decided to walk a bit more and headed into nearby Ryarsh for a pint at the Duke of Wellington pub - another gorgeous walk. If walking or trekking is your thing I can attest this is a great area for it! That evening we enjoyed a roaring fire with firewood and marshmallows purchased on site. It was extremely quiet as it was a week night in May, and therefore exactly what we were looking for. Mike and Karina are right there on site if you need anything and they are both delightful - as is their pup, Barney! A genuinely lovely place and perfect for people like us who want to combine a hike with an overnight stay.
