This is a campsite review of the campsite
by one of our readers.
This campsite is what camping is all about for our family. There's lots of space so you can pitch the tent where you like, build a fire and then relax while the kids disappear off to catch a chicken or make a secret den in the hedgerow.
It feels like it is in the middle of nowhere but then one night, the most amazing pop-up fish cafe appeared in the barn. Tables popped up, chairs appeared and suddenly we felt almost sophisticated. Still one of our best ever holiday meals.
Also, down on the basic level the showers are really big, very private and have endless hot water. We are the cleanest, happiest campers when we're at Penquite. We've been here twice now, and will be heading back again this summer.
