Luxury glamping holidays on offer to nominated NHS staff

Business and glamping sites have come together to offer a series of glamping gifts to nominated NHS staff and care workers in the UK

One of the undoubted positives of the government’s Coronavirus ‘lockdown’ period has been the way that, across the country, people have joined together in showing their appreciation for carers, NHS staff and key workers. Whether it’s clapping outside our homes on a Thursday evening, writing poems in celebration of key workers, painting rainbows in our windows or raising money by performing great feats, everyone is finding a way to say thank you.

Last week a new hashtag began trending on social media, #TreatOurNHS, with hotels offering special stays to nominated carers and NHS workers across the UK. Now, a number of camping and glamping businesses have come together to offer their support, with a series of incredible gifts for nominated care workers over the coming weeks.

Luxury glamping sites, including the likes of Wingbury Farm in Buckinghamshire, Dreamhuts Retreat in Devon and Hedgerow Luxury Glamping in Lancashire have teamed up with leading outdoor cooking brand Aquaforno and the kiln dried log company Certainly Wood to offer luxury stays when UK holidays resume.

“We’re thrilled to have teamed up with some truly incredible glamping sites as a way of saying thank you to NHS staff and key workers in the UK”, Karen Rhodes of Aquaforno told Cool Camping. “We’ll be giving away our top of the range stoves to four lucky nominees, while the team at Certainly Wood will be supplying all the firewood needed to enjoy it”.

Anyone can nominate an NHS staff member or care worker for entry in the prize draw, with four prize stays to be won. Each winner will receive a brand new Aquaforno, a home delivery of kiln dried logs, plus an additional delivery of logs to the glamping site at which they will stay, with a different glamping holiday awarded to each week’s winner.

Week 1 – The Dreamers Hideaway, Dundee

The winning nominee (drawn by raffle) will enjoy a three-night luxury stay at The Dreamers Hideaway in Dundee, complete with a private sauna, a double-sided wood burning stove and a private cocktail bar. All winners also receive a brand new Aquaforno that will be theirs to keep, along with 20 bags of Certainly Wood kiln-dried logs.

Week 2 – Wingbury Farm Glamping, Buckinghamshire

This week’s winner will receive a luxury pod stay on the edge of the Chiltern Hills at luxurious Wingbury Farm Glamping in Buckinghamshire, complete with a hot tub and all mod cons. All winners also receive a brand new Aquaforno that will be theirs to keep, along with 20 bags of Certainly Wood kiln-dried logs.

Week 3 – Dreamhuts Retreat, Devon

This week’s nominee will enjoy the ultimate glamping break in Devon’s Culm Valley on the edge of the Blackdown Hills AONB. They’ll stay in a sumptuous shepherd’s hut, complete with a king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom, outdoor hot tub and a sauna. All winners also receive a brand new Aquaforno that will be theirs to keep, along with 20 bags of Certainly Wood kiln-dried logs.

Week 4 – Hedgerow Luxury Glamping, Lancashire

This week’s nominee can kick back in style at this pod glamping site between the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The modern pod accommodation features a hot tub, pizza oven and acres of space. All winners also receive a brand new Aquaforno that will be theirs to keep, along with 20 bags of Certainly Wood kiln-dried logs.
