10 glamping sites in Cornwall within striking distance of the beach

Let’s face it. Holidays in Cornwall are all about the coast. From walking the South West Coast Path, to spending days surfing, sandcastle building and sunbathing on the beach, you don’t visit this south westerly limb of the UK without spending a great deal of time beside the sea. And, hey, we can’t blame you. But not all seaside escapes are made the same. And, when it comes to finding a place to stay, there’s something special about dialling up the luxury and taking your under-canvas holiday upmarket with a quirky glamping option. So, from orchard yurts and hilltop surf pods, to cowboy wagons and a converted library bus, we’ve chosen our favourite glamping sites in Cornwall where the beach is always just a hop, skip and jump away…

East Thorne Glamping, Kilkhampton

Five fully furnished yurts dot this spacious meadow, but those who want to go the extra mile should pick the luxury roundhouses, which have a modern, almost cottage-like feel. Bude’s beautiful Summerleaze, Crooklets and Widemouth beaches are just a 15-minute drive from Eat Thorne and also great for beginner surfers.
