The Owner Says
A truly unique place to stay - retaining most of the original features, including the illuminated bar area. The Jetstar is a first class executive jet plane that would have carried up to nine passengers. Originally built in the 1970, it has been expertly modified to create comfortable glamping accommodation, and to the rear is a new addition, a spacious double bedroom in the style of a first class ships cabin. There is a toilet and cold water basin on board the plane and the cockpit has an Xbox console with some flight games. As well as the double bed in the cabin area, there is a small single bed behind the cockpit. (This is only 5'7"/170cm which is fine for many adults, but not all!) There is also a leather sofa on the plane which is 6'4". Given this configuration, it is more suited to a couple or two adults and two children. The cabin and the cockpit are powered by mains electricity however the fuselage has the planes original lighting and is powered by car batteries and should be used economically. There is a double plug with usb ports which lamps can be plugged in. A blue tooth compatible CD and radio is mounted in the main fuselage. A nearby facilities building has hot showers and toilets, (including disabled access) plus a kitchen area with sink, pots, pans, cutlery, fridges, toaster and kettle. There is also a laundry area with washing machine and dryer which can be used by request at an additional cost. If you like to BBQ...we have a large gas fired grill station with two cooking rings on each side. Guests are respectfully requested to remove shoes when wet. Elsewhere on our alternative campsite, you'll see a variety of other glamping structures including Mongolian yurts, Bell tents, Showmans' Caravan, Geodesic Dome and coming soon - a UFO! Our quirky campsite is designed experience the outdoors in a rustic setting. We look forward to welcoming you to Apple Camping!

About Apple Camping
Glamping only. So no tents, campervans or caravans.
Owner Toby has sent his life round these parts and is never short of recommendations. Just ask if you want some local advice. For families, Manor House Wildlife Park (01646 651201) offers a chance to explore the globe – head down to the African Village where you can walk with lemurs or trek through the wallaby enclosure in the Australian bush. Back in Britain, the nearby harbour town of Tenby is a cute little spot, with ferries running out to Caldy Island, or try the harbour in Saundersfoot where there is also a sandy, blue flag beach. Freshwater West, meanwhile, was the filing location for Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows and Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, while Barafundle Bay was recently voted the best beach in Wales.
Food & Drink
The family-friendly, Parsonage Farm Inn (01834 871436) in the village of St Florence (2¼ miles) is an excellent local pub, while the Sun (01834 871322), also in St Florence, is a traditional picture-postcard pub full of local memorabilia.

I booked this experience for my partners birthday and it did not disappoint! Everything was well thought of and the owners should be proud of their restoration of the Jet Star! It was comfy and cosy throughout. We had a perfect few nights stay and we can not wait to return! It came as a surprise that we literally didn’t need to bring much with us at all, as everything was on site available. I couldn’t recommend more for the most enjoyable and relaxing experience.
A home from home
From the first moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly helpful faces. Everything we needed was to hand and all we had to bring was ourselves, food and any personal little comforts you just can't do without. In my case, extra pillows. The site is clean and well managed and I felt, even with all accommodation filled, private with no intrusions from other guests. A lot of sites in the UK are pricing themselves out of the market due to the increase in staycations but Apple Camping's charges are reasonable for what they provide. I love camping but the amount of gear needed for a good level of comfort, is getting ridiculous! This was a brilliant compromise. A comfortable bed, a kitchen just for us and a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the sun. That's without all the shared facilities. I'm already booking another stay in September as a birthday present for my best friend. Can't wait to try all the other accommodations. Next year, Arabian Nights Airbus!
I cannot recommend apple camping enough! I stayed in one of the lunar bell tents, which was beautiful presented inside and felt incredibly homely for my short stay. The host was very welcoming and helped me out with recommendations and information about local attractions and things to do. The facilities were better than any I have experienced on a glamping site before with lovely clean showers and toilets, and full kitchen facilities so that it was possible to cook without any camping gear. I enjoyed being shown around the whole site and would love to try out one of the other options if I return one day (which I hope to do). Thank you for a great stay!!
Myself and my sister and her giant dog, Duggy, stayed for 2 nights at Apple Camping. We had the most wonderful stay. The pitches are spaced apart so it doesn't feel like you are in the laps of your neighbours. Facilities are great, and the staff were super friendly. We stayed in the Witches Hat and it was just perfect. Spacy inside and lots of room to sit out in the sun. We had a fantastic stay and will be back again in the future, im sure :) Pip

What an amazing place
A amazing campsite, only a short drive from Tenby there are some amazing places to stay. We stayed in the Rosebud Yurt, it was cosy and warm. All the pitches are well spread out with a large green space in the middle. The communal spaces are clean with cooking equipment provided. I would love to come back and stay in the train carriage or one of the planes. There is also a large carpark with a electric charge point! 10/10 can't wait to return!
