About Headland Escape
Glamping only. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Walk 300 yards down the lane and you hit the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Stay on the road and go through the edge of the caravan park to Blue-Flag Lydstep Beach (half a mile), a sandy crescent backed by a pebble bank and shouldered by limestone cliffs at either end. Or turn right onto the footpath and head out along the trail around the headland, following a National Trust route that takes in Lydstep Caverns and Smugglers Caves. You can also skip the headland and head west, enjoying a cliff-top walk to quiet Church Door Cove and Sandy Skrinkle Haven Beach (one mile). It’s around three miles on this path, weaving along the clifftops, to Manorbier Beach (though to drive there it’s two miles – around five minutes). The beach is backed by Manorbier Castle (01834 871394) – the well-preserved 12th century gatehouse is well worth a visit. The crown disposed of the place in 1670 and it was derelict for some time until a local family purchased and reinvigorated it. Life-size wax figures in costume are dotted about the place and you can admire the view from the turret windows down to the surfer-friendly sands below.
To the east, it’s four miles by road to Tenby, where you can explore its many shops and cafés, with the chance to catch a ferry out to Caldey Island. And, if you don’t feel you’ve been sufficiently pampered at the glamping site, Celtic Haven Spa (01834 826998) is about 200 yards from your yurt and has a wide variety of facials, massages and treatments.
Food & Drink
Try the Italian-inspired food at Waves Cliff-top Bar & Restaurant (part of Celtic Haven; 01834 870085) where you can dine with views across the bay (or grab takeaway pizza to enjoy down on the beach). For a good pub, walk to The Lydstep Tavern (01834 871521), a traditional Welsh bolthole in the heart of the village.

Beautiful accommodation in idyllic location
Yurt beautifully decorated and luxurious with all necessary amenities for a very comfortable. The amazing scenery on the coastal path is just minutes walk away. Fantastic family holiday!
Fantastic accomodation in beautiful surroundings
We stayed at Headland Escape for 5 nights with our 2 children (11 and 8). The hosts were super helpful with directions as we arrived in the dark - the view of the stars was amazing! The yurt was spacious, beautiful and had everything we needed. The individually allocated showers and toilet were super clean. Although the weather was wet at times, we were really cosy with the log burner on in the evenings. There was so much to explore - just a short walk to the beach with rock pools and the headland with fantastic views. A short drive to the National Trust area with amazing walks and beaches. Our 11 year old loved jumping off the Quay at Stackpole. Tenby was a hit with fish and chips and hot donuts. We will definitely be back! A 10/10 stay!
Romantic, picturesque, relaxing
We came here for our mini moon and had a wonderful experience. The shepherds hut is cosy and intimate and the views are incredible. The hot tub was a luxury. It was a very peaceful and relaxing experience. I will definitely be coming back here. 100% recommend for a short break away from reality. Easy to get in contact with the staff and they were very helpful.
Beautiful setting, warm and welcoming yurts
We had a wonderful week staying in one of the tastefully appointed yurts with our 2 teenage daughters. Compared to other glamping we have done Headland is the best so far. We appreciated the little touches like Prosecco and Welsh cakes, the complimentary shampoo and conditioner and the towels. Having your own separate toilet and shower facilities was also a real plus point. We took our own gazebo and this was a welcome addition enabling outside eating space when the rain came down! The location is great for exploring Tenby and the surrounding Pembrokeshire area.

Lovely, luxurious yurt
The yurt was absolutely beautiful - lovely setting, beautifully landscaped site and great furnishings. As campers who usually use our own tent, we felt very pampered with the prosecco and Welsh cakes on arrival and the electricity supply and fridge in the tent. Really clean toilets and showers. Great water pressure in the showers and complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Our kids slept on the sofa bed, which was really comfy but unfortunately they kept kicking each other awake (obviously not the fault of Headland). If it's a possibility to have 2 single sofa beds, that would have made a really good stay even better. Small cooking area which was fine, but I did wonder in rainy conditions where we would have eaten.
