Glamping only. Families, couples and small groups – yes. Dogs – no.

On site you can relax by the river, watch wildlife and enjoy views of the Clwydian Range. Footpaths and bike routes mean walking and cycling in to the hills is easy. Offa’s Dyke footpath is a few miles away – Ty Famau can provide a pick-up/drop-off service for walkers (from either the Crown Inn at Llandegla or the Clwyd Gate Inn at Llanbedr). Loggerheads Country Park (01824 712757), 13 miles away, has some well-marked walks. It’s also home to the Clwydian Range Centre, with information on the local area, and a café. For mountain biking, head to Coed Llandegla Forest (01978 751656), 7 miles away. The historic market town of Ruthin is 3 miles away with eateries, shops and a craft centre (01824 704774). Other facilities include a leisure centre with tourist attractions including Ruthin Gaol (01824 708281), winner of a Visit Wales 'Hidden Gem' Award. The bigger town of Llangollen is a drive of about 25 minutes away (10 miles), famed for its International Eisteddfod Music Festival which takes place in July. The town is also home to the Llangollen Railway (01978 860979) where you can step aboard a steam train and Llangollen Wharf (01978 860702) from where horse-drawn boat trips along the canal can be taken. The eastern fringes of Snowdonia National Park are a 35-minute drive away and the beaches of Colwyn Bay and Llandudno, a little further.

The closest pub is a 15-minute walk away and is your hosts’ favourite; the Three Pigeons Inn (01824 703178) serving hearty meals and cask ales. Beautiful domes

Domes were clean and beautifully decorated. Facilities were amazing and welcome pack was fabulous. Site is small and rural and perfect for families etc. Everything was spotless and everything you need is provided including blankets, puzzles and local guides. Lovely outside areas, a small "shop". Super warm and cosy even in February. Overall a beautiful place, such attention to detail in the decor and facilities.

Great stay

Lovely place to stay, really clean and has everything you need for your stay from warmth to little things like games for kids and some outdoor toys. Hot tub took quite a while to heat up, but it was December.

Glamping in style

We went with friends for a belated birthday celebration and were not disappointed. Facilities were very clean and everything in place for enjoying outdoor cooking (Dutch oven) and wood fired hot tub. We found it very relaxing and we would certainly go back again. Highly recommend it if you want to chill out

Fabulous break in a great spot

Had a great break celebrating birthdays and made the most of the hot tub and fire pit. We were lucky with the weather which made all the difference. Having electricity, a fridge and heating is the only way to glamp! To make this perfect, take some candles & extra blankets for sitting outside at night and an ice box / bucket for your G&T. It’s also ideally located for exploring north Wales. We’ll certainly return.

Amazing geo lodges

Great short stay with amazing clean geo lodges! Fantastic hot tub and scenery!
