We are a family run farm situated in the beautiful Frome valley. The farm has a range of interests from the traditional Jersey milking cows to a community of workshops used by local craftsmen. The cafe serves cream teas from Easter to the end of September and pizzas are sold in evenings during the summer months. Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. Historic Bradford-on-Avon is only a 5 minute drive and the City of Bath 15 minutes. For those who enjoy more rural pleasures, 200 metres from the campsite Farleigh Hungerford boasts the only river swimming club in the country, and you can become an instant member for a very small fee.

Glamping in West Midlands guide

Overview

So you love the idea of camping in the West Midlands but can’t quite say goodbye to your creature comforts? Don't worry, glamping is the ideal solution. Featuring all of the best bits of camping—with a little luxury and glamour thrown in—glamping in the West Midlands and central England can be a fantastic experience. West Midlands glamping is ideal for walkers and cyclists who want easy access to Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and Coventry via the myriad paths, towpaths, and cycle-friendly routes into the cities. These rural retreats provide the perfect weekend escape for city dwellers. Stay in a renovated 18th-century dovecote or a hand-built Mongolian yurt amid the rolling green hills in central England—otherwise, consider immersing yourself in country sounds while enjoying luxury comforts of a well-insulated wooden shepherd’s hut. There are plenty of wonderful glamping sites available to book on Hipcamp, ranging from high-end luxury yurts near the Peak District and family-sized safari lodges on the edge of the Malvern Hills to a secluded tipi on a dairy farm in the Wye Valley.
