Another Fantastic Stay!
We had another perfect stay at the Abberton Shepherd Hut. It was our second visit after I proposed to my girlfriend in the hut last year (she said yes). The location is superb and the host Catriona goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need throughout your visit. The hut has everything you could possibly need and is made super cozy thanks to the little log burner inside. We will be back for another visit next year!

Much needed tranquility
Yes its officially a Shepherds Hut but honestly its so much more. I couldn't stop smiling from the minute we arrived. It was spotlessly clean, smelt heavenly and little touches like the radio playing as we walked in set the tone for out two night stay. It was particularly windy but the fire and heavenly thick duvets kept us cosy and warm. There was always help on hand if we needed it and it felt like nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou for making our stay so peaceful. We can't wait to return in the summer and make use of the pizza oven. Would highly recommend.

Secret Adventure
The hut has everything you could possibly want, even a champagne stopper, but it’s all tucked away so cleverly that it doesn’t feel cluttered. We visited on a particularly rainy and windy weekend, but the hut stayed very toasty. Our children loved exploring all the little corners, watching the sheep, toasting marshmallow and playing with Evie the dog. It’s spotlessly clean and seems to be the most Covid-secure holiday imaginable. Thankyou.

Wow! So cosy!!
Wow! A really fabulous getaway with luxury stylish accommodation in beautiful English countryside. Small but so cosy. Easy short drive to interesting places like Worcester then back to the Shepherd's Hut and the wood burning stove! Thank you for a wonderful short break.....lovely!

Amazing Stay!
We had a wonderful week-end in September. The hut was better than we had imagined, it was lovely to meet Alec and Catriona and Evie! The weather was kind to us which made the stay even better. The area was so tranquil, on our first evening we walked across the fields to Flyford to the Flyford Inn and had a lovely meal. It was about 2 miles there and back. All the lovely personal touches in the hut were lovely. We would love to come again!!

just what I was looking for
Amazing Stay - I had been looking for some where to escape not to far from where I live for a while now.. somewhere I can go for a couple of nights to clear my head and ta da.. i found it. The hut is beautiful the attention to detail is impeccable, the hosts are super attentive, not far away if you need anything but also respectful of your privacy. When i go away I look for rural, quiet, i don't really want to see another living soul to be honest lol and this was perfect! Surrounding by beautiful country side, with sheep to keep you company in the field in front. Lovely walks, produce, SUPER comfy bed, a real treat. Great for couples, families or like me a solo trip to get away.. I've already rebooked for December :-)

Wonderful countryside retreat!
We just spent 3 nights at Abberton Shepherd's hut, and had the most lovely time. Definitely our best glamping trip to date! The accommodation is very comfortable, with the ensuite facilities (including heated towel rail and hot shower) much appreciated. There are outdoor dining options, including fire pit/BBQ and pizza oven, and outdoor seating with pretty views. The bed was comfy, and our little boy (2) loved the little bunk bed above ours :) The walk from the gate around the farmer's fields and down by a brook was enjoyed several times, and we even saw two deer when we went at sunset. Our son loved feeding the chickens, collecting their eggs, and playing with the farm dog, Evie. Very friendly owners, would definitely recommend this glamping spot.

A wonderful few days
We had a such a lovely few days. The Shepherds Hut is beautifully designed and built by Alec and Catriona with everything you could possibly need and more. Our children absolutely loved the bunk beds and weren’t at all interested in the tent we brought with us! The highlight of the stay for the children was the time they were able to spend playing with Evie the dog and also collecting the hens’ eggs on a morning with Catriona. It was so nice to have a private enclosed space where the children could run about and play safely. Catriona was so kind and accommodating and could not have done more to make us feel more welcome. It was such a wonderful quiet and relaxing few days for us - we are already planning a return visit.

Wonderfully quiet and relaxing
We had a wonderful 3 night stay in the hut in August this year. We we lucky with the weather and were able to play games on the grass and to eat outside. The hut is lovely and cosy and so much love has gone into making the hut a special place. Alec and Catriona were so welcoming and were on hand to answer any questions if needed. Will certainly be returning in the future.

A unique and magical stay
We feel very lucky to have found such a special and unique place to stay whilst searching on the cool camping website. Our 5 night stay was totally wonderful. Personally, we don't feel the photos do the site justice as the craftsmanship and attention to detail inside the hut is stunning and the outside area is a fabulous space to relax in. We made full use of the fire pit and even managed to produce very delicious pizzas in the pizza oven. The countryside around was all very beautiful, especially the Malvern Hills. The owners, Alec and Catriona, made the stay even more special with their welcoming hosting. We could sense their genuine desire to help us have the best time possible and they were especially lovely and thoughtful with our daughter who loved collecting eggs and playing with their dog. We had practically given up on having a relaxing, hassle free holiday this year but, thanks to the Shepherd's Hut, have loved staycationing!

Beautiful
We had a really lovely couple of days at Abberton Shepherds hut, fantastic location and the hut itself and area around it is so well thought out and just perfect. Having Evie the dog welcome us every morning made our mini break all the more special. We will definitely return.

July 2020 - Wonderful staycation
We stayed in the Shepherd's Hut last week (11th-18th July) and had a lovely, relaxing time. The hut is beautiful and the owner (Catriona) is very helpful. The hut, and the outside space, is very comfortable and well equipped. The hut is charming and quirky - with beautiful wood throughout and high-end linens and fittings. The shower is great and the kitchen has everything one might need (a good fridge with a freezer compartment) as well as lots of utensils, pans etc for cooking. With a tv, radio, games, cards and books - there was plenty to keep us entertained on the few days that the sun stayed away. The outside sitting areas are a real bonus too. We loved the fire pit/bbq and also made a pizza in the pizza oven. Given that we are still experiencing a pandemic, we wanted somewhere where we didn't need to worry about other people in our space - so the Shepherd's Hut was ideal. We enjoyed local walks and views too (watching woodpeckers, rabbits and lots of butterflies).

Could quite easily self isolate here forever ! Beautiful setting, beautifully crafted Shepherds Hut. Catriona was so lovely, non pushy very laid back but extremely helpful. We loved the unique items that made it so homely and cosy. The gadgets that made terrific use of space. Plenty of logs for the burner. A Wonderful Stay in a Perfect Shepherds Hut!
Abberton Shepherds Hut was a perfect pre Christmas get away. From the moment we opened the door we were overwhelmed by how homely and cosy the hut was. It catered for all of our needs; a real home from home. The personal touches Catriona leaves for you made our stay very special indeed. The hut was extra special as it was the setting where Ollie proposed to me. Truly magical and a memory we will always cherish. The pre arranged home cooked food was delicious too. A perfect weekend. We will definitely be back :)

Perfect in everyway
We only stayed for one night, but what a wonderful experience it was.. Alec and Catriona are smashing hosts, welcoming, informative, but not overpowering. Just lovely. The hut is beautiful inside and out. Delightful! Twinkling clean, warm, pleasingly finished with just a nice hint of quirky and absolutely anything you could possibly need for your stay. The bed was divine! We paid a little extra for the very generous breakfast supplies of delicious home produced sausages, eggs, bread, apple juice etc. Worth every reasonable penny. The hut is set in the corner of an orchard and a little way off is a really lovely barbecue area. To the left of the hut is a gate through which is a field and a bell tent (extra space if needed) The views are just grand. And you may even get to see the pigs and hens and cattle around the farm! Everyone young or old will fall in love with this place. If only we could have stayed longer.....

Superb country escape, cosy, extremely comfortable, immaculate
We had the most wonderful stay here over a cold wet and windy weekend in October. This beautiful hand built shepherds hut has a rustic farmhouse feel finished to high standard with all the luxuries you would want to enjoy a effortless country getaway. There is a fantastic kitchen to cook up dinner to have a relaxing night in, a log burner with wood and matches provided, a private en suite bathroom which has a brilliant shower which had hot water available 24 hours and big comfortable bed with plenty of blankets, ( even an electric one ) cushions and pillows. Catriona and Alec were exceptionally welcoming ensuring they were on hand at anytime should we need anything or advice of where and what to do. We were offered a breakfast hamper the day before our arrival which was in the hut when we arrived. This included products from the farm where the hut is located, which included fresh milk, eggs, butter, apple juice sausages and bread. Complimentary tea and coffee is available and conveniently wine ( at a very reasonable price ) can be purchased should you wish. Alec was kind enough to show us around the farm itself which absolutely made our morning! I would recommend a visit here to anyone seeking to have some rest and repair, surrounded by beautiful sights and sounds which created for us, the greatest glamping escape.

Perfect in every way
We have just spent five nights in this most wonderful shepherd’s hut, it is so comfortable, homely and stylish. Catriona has thought of every conceivable item you could need with so many extra thoughtful touches along the way. We have stayed in quite a few shepherds huts but this one far exceeds any we have previously stayed in. It felt like a real home away from home and so peaceful and quiet with the most lovely countryside all around. We were so glad that the weather was at times inclement, as we could retreat back to the hut, light the log burner and just relax, warm, snug and totally relaxed. Thank you so very much Catriona, we very much hope to be returning next year to recharge our batteries again before the Christmas rush.

Idyllic weekend getaway
Spent the weekend at Abberton Shepherds Hut with an old university friend for a weekend catch up. The cabin and surrounding areas are remarkably lovely and we had a delightful stay. Catriona had thought of everything, inc. a deck of cards for games, emergency first aid kit and a variety of teas (to name a few of the great finishing touches!). Thank you for a wonderful weekend and we'll definitely be back.

A little gem of a getaway!
We were definitely not disappointed with this one! The hut is so cute and comfortable. The hosts really have thought of everything and managed to incorporated it all into this small space, whether kids toys or an electric blanket, nothing was missing! The craftsmanship is really impressive and it has been decorated with an astounding eye for detail. It is set in a field with plenty of room for children to play, with a bbq and even a new outdoor pizza oven. We really enjoyed our short getaway, it was just a short distance to the chocolate box villages of the Cotswolds and other tourist attractions. Catriona, the host, made fresh bread everyday and was always on hand to help, whether we wanted to order sausages for breakfast or my daughter wanted to collect eggs from her chickens! What a discovery!

This was my second visit to the Abberton Shepherds Hut. It is such a restful and tranquil experience. We cycled in the beautiful surrounding area also so it is a good base to get some activity in. Stunning Shepherds Hut in an idyllic setting
We spent only one night and can't wait to return. The hut has been beautifully designed and crafted with so many extras to make your stay amazingly comfortable. A great log fire, really comfortable beds, lots of little extras (locally made gin and homemade cider to name but a few) and really kind and helpful owners - they even lent us their dog (a beautiful border collie) - we were very happy. Thank you Alec and Catriona.

An oasis of tranquillity
We were looking for an escape from the hussle and bussle of everyday life and have found the perfect place in the Abberton Shepherds Hut. The hut is very well equipped to cater for every thing you need with Catriona and Alec keen to help should you need it. This was a very chilled out weekend with cooked breakfasts and evening bar-b-ques with wine. Very quiet with just the sound of birds and the odd Aberdeen Angus! Perfect place and perfect hosts.

Lovely relaxing experience
We arrived late due to traffic but Catriona gave us a warm welcome and made sure we settled in. The rain meant we couldn't enjoy the outside space but a wonderful cosy evening in the hut followed by cooked breakfast the following morning made up for it. Excellent attention to detail throughout.

Relaxing rural retreat with bonus dog
Can not recommend this place highly enough. We had the most wonderful stay and were so well looked after. Evie the dog was an added bonus, and we loved playing with her. There was such attention to detail in the hut, everything had been thought of. There was lots of surrounding walks and we had a lovely day at the nearby Malvern hills. Our children are 7 and 9 and fitted snuggly in the bunk beds, although we may have to come without them next time!

The perfect getaway in an amazing location
Many thanks to catriona and Alex for a wonderful getaway at their lovely shepherds hut! Was a relaxing and cosy place to stay, with warm welcoming hosts who were very helpful and offered us lots of insight into where to go and what to do whilst on our stay. Even though the weather wasn't the best, we were perfectly happy to wander around their lovely grounds and wrap ourselves up in the hut, next to the fire! Would recommend as a short getaway for couples or even small families.

Heavenly hut!
Spent a couple of days here with hubby and children (age 11 and 8). Beautiful hut with everything you might need at hand, including wine and gin to purchase if you run out! The hut was warm overnight thanks to the lovely stove and numerous soft warm blankets, plus a really comfy bed! The children loved walking Evie the sheepdog and she entertained (and exhausted!) them throughout our stay. A walk to help collect eggs and meet the bulls was wonderful and we were so grateful to our wonderful hosts for taking time out to show us so much and tell us about the farm. We spent our evening enjoying the view across the fields to the church whilst toasting marshmallows. A little bit of heaven and we will hopefully return one day x

Our stay at the shepherd's hut in Feb 2019 has been amazing. We were very sad to leave, Alec and Catriona really made us feel at home. Beautiful Shepherd's Hut
The experience which we had whilst staying in the Shepherd's Hut was sublime all the way through. The Hut has been beautifully created and is full of interesting nuances and features of the highest quality which, when combined, create a fantastic and memorable place to stay. The host Catriona could not have been more attentive in making sure our stay, although (regrettably) short, was as relaxing as is possible. We are already looking to come back in the future.

A cosy, picture perfect shepherd's hut
This was our second stay at the shepherds hut because we loved it so much when we stayed last time. The surroundings of the hut are picture perfect, it is tranquil and is the perfect place to get away from the madness of everyday life. The hut itself is unbelievably beautiful, like something from a storybook! The fairy lights, gorgeous fire and the handmade wooden features are amazing. The hut was incredibly clean and Catriona and her husband were so kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back for a third visit and we miss it so much already!!!!!

Family Adventure
We absolutely loved our one night stay here. We came with our two sons (10 & 8) and had a great time. The hut is beautifully made, cosy warm, and kitted out with everything you need - much of it home made by Catriona. The hosts are lovely and the hut is in a quiet corner on a working farm in the midst of stunning Worcestershire countryside. The boys loved playing with Evie the sheepdog and it was heaven to wake up to the sound of cows gently mooing. The cooked breakfast is well worth doing - again much of it from the farm. The Malvern Hills, Ledbury and Upton on Severn are nearby for trips. We wished we could have stayed longer.

A little bit of Magic
As a family of 4 (kids aged 5 & 2) we arrived to a warm welcome and the most beautifully presented shepherds hut hidden away in a corner of the farm. Unsure of what to expect, we were stunned by the cleverness of the hut design and how luxurious it felt. The kids were delighted by the bunk beds and my husband by the gadgets on offer and the wood burner ready and waiting to be lit. During the day we enjoyed spending time on the farm collecting the freshly laid eggs and exploring the countryside. In the evenings we lit the fire pit, bbq’ed and toasted marshmallows. Catriona & Alec were wonderful hosts and their dog Evie (no doubt mentioned in most reviews) was delightful and entertained the children to no end! We had such a good time that we stayed an extra night and are already hoping to return soon. One tip, do not pass up on the the breakfast bundle they offer, it’s fantastic!

Fabulous experience in a Shepherd's Hut
I took my 89 year old mother glamping for the first time and we absolutely loved the Shepherd's Hut. There is everything you will need for your stay and there is fabulous attention to detail. We still can't believe that it took Catriona and her husband a year to build the hut without any expert help. It is a remarkable place to stay and there are also wonderful views and lots of seating areas outside to soak up the serene splendour. But shh, don't tell anyone about it - I want to return soon.
★★★★★
Absolutely love the place!
Peaceful setting which cultivates instant relaxation in a great location for exploring the local area. Accommodation has everything you could need and is finished to a high standard. We have stayed on two separate occasions now (2 nights in April and then 3 nights over the Bank Holiday in August) with our five year old daughter (who loves the bunkbeds!) and dog Max, and we hope to stay for a third before the years out. Fantastic & accommodating hosts who can't do enough for you, what more could you ask for!

Beautiful accommodation, wonderful host, peaceful location
I stayed here with my two sisters and our children (6 children aged 2-7) for three nights in August 2018. We had use of the shepherds hut which sleeps four (although you can put a mattress on the floor to accommodate an extra child) and the bell tent in the adjacent field (just separated by a gate). We loved every minute of our stay. The shepherds hut was well equipped and we had everything we needed to stay comfortably. It is beautifully (hand!)made and decorated with great thought put into each and every aspect of the accommodation. The kitchen was compact but very well equipped and the bathroom was lovely. Outside there is a fire pit to keep warm in the evenings and toast marshmallows over; and in the field with the bell tent there is a swing set and a trampoline for the children to play on, as well as the whole of the field itself, where we played football, cricket, tennis, badminton etc. There are many walks you can do from the farm to explore the countryside if you want to. Catriona is an amazing and thoughtful host and checked we were happy each day, ensuring we had everything we needed. In addition she invited us all to collect eggs from the chickens and pick tomatoes from the greenhouse, which we all loved, especially the children. The children also enjoyed getting to know Evie, Catriona and Alec’s dog, and loved to play with her. In the locality there are lots of places to explore and good options for eating out, and Catriona is happy to give recommendations of things to do, but it is also the ideal spot for switching off and relaxing - perfect for anyone really! We had a wonderful time at Abberton Shepherd’s Hut and can’t wait to visit again! Thankyou so much for making our stay so lovely!

Little spot of heaven - so peaceful!
What a truly magical place!! My husband and I and our two sons (6yrs and 4yrs) totally fell in love with this beautiful shepherds hut and really didnt want to leave after our 3 night stay. It has everything you could possibly need and all exquisitely designed to such a high quality. The location is breathtaking and really set in its own grounds making it so private and tranquil. Alec and Catriona are incredible hosts and leave you wanting for absolutely nothing. Their love of the area is infectious and they ensure you know all the best places to go. We prebooked daytrips for the kids to Warwick Castle and Cadbury World, which were both fantastic but equally we enjoyed strolling the Malvern Hills or popping into Stratford to the Butterfly Farm - this area is teeming with great things to see and do. Highlight of the trip though for all of us was simply spending time at the Shepherds Hut, playing with Evie the gorgeous sheep dog, collecting eggs from the farm with Catriona and sitting round the firepit in the evening watching the sunsets and wildlife - unforgettable. Thank you!

Just beautiful!
I spent two nights at Abberton Shepherd's Hut as a treat to myself (a.k.a. a bit of peace and quiet away from the husband and kids!) and it was exactly what I needed, and so much more than I expected. The setting is beautiful - so calm, tranquil and private, yet the owner Catriona is just a couple of minutes' walk or an SMS away if anything is needed, and nothing is too much trouble for her. The hut itself is beautifully decorated in a traditional style, but with discreet mod-cons that you wouldn't necessarily expect in a shepherd's hut, such as a small television, USB charging sockets, slow cooker, hairdryer, shaving points in the bathroom, etc etc. None of these things take away from the cosy charm of the hut, they simply enhance it by making it more comfortable. The bathroom was well-equipped, with lovely towels and mini toiletries and the kitchen had everything from a full-sized oven to a spare bottle of wine and G&T (available to purchase at a small cost via a courtesy arrangement - in case guests run out mid-evening!). Evie, the farm dog was lovely company and had impeccable manners. The bed was delightfully comfortable, with quality bedding (very important!), and the whole cottage was meticulously clean. It's clear that Catriona has put her heart and soul into the hut, and she goes the extra mile to make the stay special for all her guests. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Abberton.
★★★★★
Very Helpful Hosts
Very well equipped shepherd's hut in a tranquil location with acres of privacy. Very useful "welcome" pack which meant we didn't have to lug the basics around with is. Catriona was very friendly and helpful and even phoned us up to let us know she had found a pair of Wendy's earrings.

A truly magical place
We had a wonderful stay in the Shepherds Hut. The children loved running around with Evie the sheepdog and collecting eggs in the morning. The location is absolutely stunning and so peaceful. A real tonic for the soul! Catriona is a wonderful host and has thought of everything. The hut is beautiful and immaculate, the beds are really comfortable and possibly the fluffiest towels I've used anywhere. A beautiful find. We will be sure to return.

Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing retreat.
From the moment we saw this shepherd's hut we fell in love. An absolutely beautiful and well equipped holiday accommodation in such a picturesque and peaceful location. We booked a 2 night break for our wedding anniversary and took our 3 year old along for a relaxing break. The hut met our every need and you can tell such time and effort has gone into setting it up to cater for everyone and every eventuality. The double bed was so comfy and even come equipped with electric blankets, not that we needed them. Above the double bed are the cutest 2 bunk beds for small children. Our son did fall out of his bunk on the 1st night but soon learnt to keep himself in bed. The kitchen is well equipped and even had a full sized oven. There is also a big metal fire pit in the bbq area, and tools to cook over it which we did on our 2nd night. Ample logs provided for the fire pit and wood burner in the hut, not that we needed it due to the gorgeous weather we had on our break. Catriona, the host, makes sure you are well looked after, providing initial provisions of tea, coffee, milk and cereals. We also took her up on her offer to provide breakfast package as well which includes eggs collected from the free range hens on the farm and locally produced sausages. We were allowed the privilege of being able to spend some time with Evie the farm sheep dog, whose energy was only surpassed by our sons. Catriona also helped my son collect eggs from the hens on his tour round the farm. I highly recommend this shepherd's hut to anyone. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway then this is the place for you. We spent lovely evenings sat outside by the fire, with a glass or two, listening to the local wildlife and watching the sunset. Would love to revisit and hope to stay longer next time.

Lovely holidays with kids
We had a fantastic holiday at Abberton. The hut was lovely and extremely comfortable. Great beds and perfectly equipped kitchen. The children loved it and can't wait to go back. Catriona was very helpful with suggestions and kindly let the kids pick up the eggs, feed the cows but most importantly borrow the dog! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

A magical environment all to yourselves
The quality of the Hut is amazing and enhanced by some lovely touches ( wine, a breakfast pack with home-made sausages, eggs from the farm chickens, home-baked bread, a roaring log burner, en-suite facilities with nice linen, a great view across the countryside.... ) provides a great experience. The children loved exploring the hut and the farm and in particular borrowing the farm dog for the morning. Lots to do close by and then to come back to your own piece of private space is a delight.

Holiday fun with kids
Booked a last minute mid week break here with the kids to fill up a long rainy Easter school holiday. Despite extremely damp weather the beautiful well equipped cosy hut kept us dry and warm. My 4 year olds loved the bunk beds, exploring the fields, swing, trampoline, looking at tractors and cows and egg collecting. We managed to find some lovely local activities to fill our rainy day; the local farm shop (book if you want lunch in the restaurant there!) and Evesham Railway. Catriona was very welcoming and made our stay extra special. BBQing sausages and marshmallows in the rain was a highlight :-)

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Abberton Shepherds Hut. It is beautifully designed for comfort and practical too. I was surprised it was so cosy and warm given the recent cold weather. The farm is lovely too and the children collecting the eggs, looking at the calves and eating the eggs and sausages from farm ( cooked by their Dad) will be something they will remember. Thank you for your hospitality Catriona and we look forwards to returning

Perfect hideaway
This hut is in a beautiful quiet location, with wonderful views. The hut is designed with a fantastic homely and cosey feel whilst being full of functional creature comforts. The local knowledge and tips from the owner are invaluable when looking for walks and dinning suggestions. Theres also has plenty of local produce available in the hut and from the owners, who couldn't be more friendly and help throughout our stay. Graham & Sophie

A Real Gem!
Walking into the hut was a truly magical moment. You have created an absolutely gorgeous hut, the attention to detail is truly amazing. It was a Birthday treat for my partner, a night in a hotel and a night in a Shepherds Hut, the Shepherds Hut won hands down! So lovely to find this beautiful hut so close but feels a million miles away from reality. Loved waking up to hear the cows, loved the ducks and chickens. The eggs and meat was amazing..Thank you so much Cationa & Alex. We look forward to returning. Maggie & John xx

Beautiful peaceful place to stay, could have stayed even longer
I loved my time at Abberton Shepherd's Hut, what a lovely little place to stay. The hut itself was a delight to spend time in, there was everything there I needed and if there wasn't then nothing was too much trouble for Alec and Catriona to sort out quickly - Alec even sorted out the BBQ for this BBQ novice. Wonderful scenery and views from the hut and in the immediately surrounding area, so peaceful - I'm likely to return and would recommend it to others, even if it means it's booked out the next time I want to visit!

All the comforts of an amazing hotel with all of the benefits of being out in nature
We absolutely loved it here! From the minute you walk in you can tell that it has been designed by someone who understands what it means to live with comfort and cosiness. We didn't want to leave. We booked our stay for 3 nights and could have easily stayed for longer. It had everything we needed, from local gin & tonic as part of provisions stock inside, a full working oven and outside BBQ area and a very comfy bed, we had everything we needed for a full city detox. We ended up cooking every night at the cabin, buying wonderful ingredients from the best farm shop we've ever been in and enjoying some of the produce from the farm itself. The eggs were delicious. It is so quiet and serene here, it was a great place for us to chill out away from the city, get out on our bikes on long rides exploring the local sights to see and simple enjoy the beautiful scenery right outside the cabin. We've stayed in good hotels all around the world yet the personal and high quality touches in this cabin really give them a run for their money. We'll be back in a heartbeat, and are already planning to rebook for October, where the great wood burning stove in the cabin will make for a cosy Autumn break. Thanks for having us xx

Such a find!
We think the Sutherlands Shepherds Hut is amazing and we're so glad we found it! We're a family of four, our kids are 8 and 10, and we fit in amazingly well thanks to the incredibly clever design of the hut. It's cuter and more spacious than it looks on the photos, and everything you need is there, from saucepans and tea towels to toiletries and bath towels. The hosts have thought of everything to make it a comfortable stay. Plus there's so much to do in this beautiful area. But the kids didn't want to leave the hut or the farm, and Catriona (who has a real gift with children) created their highlights by lending them her gorgeous puppy for walks and letting them help her collect the eggs. It was such a wonderful peaceful getaway for us Londoners. Thank you Sutherlands!

Experience luxury and tranquility
Had the most amazing, enjoyable time with my two children at the Abberton shepherds hut. On arrival Cartriona and Alec were available to welcome us and provide us with a lovely continental breakfast and drinks (especially the pink lemonade went down a treat with my girls)! The setting it so peaceful in the glorious Worcestershire countryside with views across the fields. Ideal to get away from stresses of everyday life, pretty walks and village pubs! What more could you want! The hut itself is spectacular. All modern amenities and the decor is to a very high spec. Couldn't recommend this enough. Enjoy folks!

Wonderful place- a very relaxing experience
We were lucky enough to be the first guests at the Shepherds Hut and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We wished we had booked a longer stay as the hut was so relaxing and there is so much to do in the local area. The hosts are very welcoming and could not do enough for us, to make sure that we had everything we needed. The hut is very cosy but big enough so that you don't feel cramped and so you could easily stay for a week or more. The inside of the hut is also higher than normal which was great for my partner who is quite tall. All the furnishings were done to a very high standard and we loved all the natural wood finishings. Lovely to experience being on a working farm too, especially seeing all the animals. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
