The Owner Says

Our glamorous Yurts are fully equipped with towels and bedding so that you don't have to load your car with unnecessary camping equipment – save the space for your souvenirs! Each luxurious Mongolian Yurt comes with its own cold water supply and there are fully equipped toilet and shower facilities a short walk away. Lanterns and torches are available and add to the romance and glamour of this posh camping experience!

About Glamping West Midlands

Suitable For

Glamping couples, families, groups—yes. Sorry, no dogs allowed due to the animals on the adjacent smallholding.

The high heath and woodland escarpment of Kinver Edge is just 4 miles west of Stourbridge. This history is positively hued into the rock of this popular beauty spot and tourist attraction. There are two Iron Age hill forts here as well as the last surviving troglodyte dwellings in England. These remarkably well-preserved cave houses were occupied up until the 1950s. Local legend has it that the enchanting hermitages provided the inspiration for one the region's most famous son's, J.R.R. Tolkien, when conjuring his iconic Hobbiton. The industrial heritage of the region is vividly brought to life at the Black Country Museum and Ironbridge Gorge Museum. To see the best of the local wildlife, Highgate Common is abuzz with fascinating insects and vibrant flora—little wonder then it's a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. If shopping is on your agenda, the Bridgnorth Saturday Markets and Birmingham Bull ring are both within driving distance. If you're visiting around early September, be sure to check out the Ludlow Castle food festival.

Food & Drink

The Fox in nearby Stourton serves up some decent pub grub. If you fancy pushing the boat out, The Six Ashes in Bobbington serves refined and innovative cusine, making excellent use of the best in Black Country produce. Speaking of local delicacies, why not stick some famously tasty Staffordshire beef steaks on your barbeque back at camp? The Red Lion pub and hotel in Bobbington is a family-friendly country residence that serves up great modern cuisine and also has a large children's playground and beer garden.

Lovely getaway

We had a wonderful stay in the Shepherds Hut, though we actually had the site to ourselves as the yurts were not booked at the time. The hut was cozy with a comfy bed. The wood fired hot tub was great once we got it heated the first night it was almost too hot to handle the next night :) sitting by the firepit was so relaxing. We enjoyed walking round to see the various animals and snapping some pic for the kids. Chris was a great host, very friendly, she gave some tips of places to explore and we even bought some fresh eggs. Thanks very much for a great stay.

We had an amazing time at Glamping West Midlands, everything we hoped for and more!

The yurts are fantastic, totally fully equipped with everything you might need - lovely clean bedding and towels, crockery, cutlery, glasses, mugs, camping stove, gas, wood burning stove and anything else you might want. The lovely big field we were in has lanterns etc at night so you don't need to bother with a torch. Amazing hot tub, easy to heat and use. If it's hot (which is was for us) you can leave it cooler, which is also amazing. Toilets close to the yurts. Shower block, loos, frigdes and freezers are 2 mins walk away. Fantastic animals, dogs, peacocks, horses, llamas, emus, reah bird, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks............ And last but definitely not least, Chris, our host was so welcoming and friendly, she showed us round, introduced all the animals, showed us how everything worked and was always there if we needed her for anything, Chris is so laid back you just feel so welcome and told us the history of the place and has a wealth of local information and recommendations. All four of us would definitely book again. Thanks Chris, you gave us an experience to remember. Give our love to all your dogs, who are all wonderful, and we hope the newly hatched chick does well.

Great weekend

We spent the weekend in 1 of the yurts, my wife, 2 children & I. The moment we arrived, we were greeted at the gates & given a tour of the site & animals kept onsite. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, had lots of fun & enjoyed petting the animals. Fantastic facilities & very accommodating owners who couldn't help enough. I'd definitely recommend spending time here. Quality family time! Thanks for a great break!!

A perfect weekend glamping

Myself, husband and 2 children had a blissful weekend glamping in our yurt. The settling was idyllic with lots of animals to see which the children loved. We made use of the wood fired hot tub and bbq there which were brilliant. Just what we needed, and Chris was a brilliant host.

Just perfect!

We have loved our two nights here in yurt 2, warm cosy and a far removed experience from our lovely but really cold tent!! Tom has loved feeding the animals daily with Chris who has been a perfect host. A really perfect break after a tough year for two adults and one child to totally unwind (safely) without any technology and just chill out with a campfire thank you Chris and team 🥰 The Harrison Family... see you soon!!
