The Owner Says

Our luxury Bell Tents are a generous 5m in diameter and made from 100% natural cotton canvas. They have have a fully zipped-in groundsheet with soft coir matting throughout. Furnished with a king-sized bed, mattress and mattress protector, you just need to bring your bedding - sheet, pillows and duvet (go for your winter duvet as it get's cold in the tents at night!).

Other furniture inside the tents include 2x bedside tables, a pair of rattan lounge chairs with cushions and throws and a small coffee table, a small mirror and a large rug. A waste bin is also provided. Atmospheric fairy lighting is provided and they are powered by a small power bank which also has a spare USB socket for charging your phone. If this runs out of battery, it can be swapped in the main Tipis for a fully charged one. No other power is provided to the tents - it's back to nature! Outside the tent is a wooden picnic bench and a slab of stone to put your small / disposable BBQ on.

WiFi is unavailable in the Bell Tents you'll be pleased to hear! However, we do have WiFi in the main Tipis if you do require it - text Rob for the access code. Otherwise, 3G and 4G available depending on your network.

Things to bring: as above, all bedding (sheets, warm duvet, pillows, towels etc.), any cooking, eating and washing up equipment you need (no open fires other than a small BBQ, sorry) and perhaps a coolbox/bag - free exchangeable ice packs are available in the main Tipi. No cooking inside the Bell Tents please. Washing up is with cold water only, sorry - various sinks are dotted around the site. Also, you might want to consider bringing some earplugs - sometimes the sheep like to chat loudly to each other in the night - who'd have thought the 'peaceful' countryside could be so loud!

Please take your wet/muddy shoes off at the entrance and place them on the tray provided :-)

About Hadsham Farm

Suitable For

Glampers – yes. Campers with tents, campervans, caravans or dogs – no.

It takes less than half an hour to walk into the little thatched village of Hornton, which marks the northern edge of the Cotswolds but is perhaps one of the most archetypal of Cotswolds' spots. There's an excellent little pub (01295 670524) there overlooking the village playground. A coupe of miles from Hadsham Farm, just beyond the village, is Upton House and Gardens (01295 670266), an elegant stately home with 1930s period displays, garden terraces and walking trails. It's looked after by the National Trust and there's a good bookstore near the entrance (there's ample parking but you can walk here in under and hour from the glamping site). If stately homes are your thing, it's also six miles Broughton Castle (01295 276070), a fortified manor house with a moat and well tended garden. Banbury Town is less than five miles.

Food & Drink

Look now further than the Dun Cow (01295 670524), a lovely, thatched, low-beamed, flagstone-floored pub with a large open fire and a spacious garden to the rear. Freshly-cooked, locally-sourced food is available at weekends and there's Hook Norton Hooky on tap along with Sharpe's Doom Bar. It's a 25-minute walk from your bell tent.
