Kelvedon Hatch (Ready Camp)
Warren Lane, Doddinghurst, Brentford, Essex CM15 0JG
Brand new safari tents, easily reached from London.
The campsite itself has excellent facilities throughout, with modern washrooms, washing machines, Wi-Fi, a children's play area and more, and boasts two Ready Camp safari tents set in their own private area. Each comes complete with everything the lazy camper (or serious glamper) needs: two bedrooms with proper beds and space to sleep four people or a family of six in comfort; a kitchenette with a hob, fridge and microwave and plenty of storage; and a comfy sofa and dining area that extends to a verandah outside – perfect for sipping a glass of wine and listening to the birds.
Kelvedon Hatch itself is an interesting little place, an ancient village that is perhaps best-known for the fact that it was home to Britain's largest and deepest nuclear bunker during the Cold War – now a museum dedicated to its Cold War history. Beyond the village, Brentwood, just 4 miles away, is of course the home of TOWIE, and worth a visit for just that.
