A comfortable corner sofa is the perfect position to enjoy the large TV, whilst underneath, the fire sets the tone for the perfect, cosy feel. The kitchen in our Woodland Lodges has all modern conveniences you may need including fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, wine cooler, dishwasher, oven and washer dryer. All kitchen utensils, crockery and glassware are provided. The family bathroom completes the downstairs with a large bath and overhead shower. Bed linen, towels, bathrobes and slippers are all provided.
Upstairs you will find a master bedroom with king-size bed and a second bedroom with twin single beds. Throughout High Oaks Grange you will find luxury Hypnos mattresses in every bedroom, the ultimate mattresses for rest and relaxation.
We have the whole family covered with our smart entertainment system in our Woodland Lodges. Throughout each lodge you can stay connected to our high speed WiFi, simply pop in the password and you can connect all your devices to share your holiday snaps with family and friends, watch a movie and plan your next day’s adventure.
Downstairs you will find a 40' LCD Smart TV with Google Chromecast, bringing thousands of movies, live sport and catch up TV to your fingertips. In the Master bedroom there is a wall-mounted TV for those lazy mornings you can enjoy on holiday. Our amazing twin bedrooms are a kids (and grown ups) paradise, with each bed having its very own TV with a PS4 allowing multi player games to be played simultaneously.
Outside each Woodland Lodge there is a large decked area with outdoor seating. The BBQ is perfect for some al fresco dining as well as a covered hot tub to relax in whatever the weather. Parking is available for one car at each lodge with further parking available onsite. Each lodge also has a bike rack for added security.
We know how much fun it is to bring your dog on holiday with you, however we also understand dogs are not everyone's cup of tea so we have both dog friendly and dog free lodges available. Dogs are charged £8.00 per night per dog.
Buzzard, Pheasant and Barn Owl Lodges are Dog Friendly.
About High Oaks Grange
Glamping families and couples, dogs – yes. Campers, tents, campervans, motorhomes, caravans – no.
High Oaks Grange sits on the edge of the North York Moors National Park (01439 772700) where there’s plenty of cycling, hiking and sightseeing to do. Get your bearings at the Danby visitor centre, a scenic 40-minute drive north or at the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre, 30 minutes’ east. High Oaks Grange is equidistant from the market town of Pickering and the picturesque thatched village of Thornton le Dale. You can walk to both as a public footpath linking them crosses the site. From Pickering, you can hop aboard the heritage trains of the North York Moors Railway (01751 472508) to travel 24 miles across the moors to the seaside town of Whitby or hop on and off at stations along the way. There’s also English Heritage-protected Pickering Castle (01751 474989) and the Beck Isle Museum of rural life (01751 473653). There’s Go Ape (0845 6439215) at Dalby Forest, just 10 minutes’ drive away from site and, for families, Flamingoland (0800 4088840) is about the same distance with its animal park and theme park rides. The coast is within 45 minutes’ drive – choose from historic Whitby, kiss-me-quick Scarborough and pretty Robin Hood’s Bay. The city of York is also around 45-minutes’ drive away with all its historic sites.
