Willow View (3 at Glamp-in-Style)
The Owner Says
Glamping only. Families, couples, groups – yes. Campervans, caravans, tents, dogs – no.
The surrounding Lincolnshire Wolds offer excellent walking and cycling opportunities. Tennyson's birthplace, Somersby, is 2½ miles away (or a little shorter if you walk). There's nothing there specifically open to the public that's related to him but there is plenty of information and the old buildings and church (where his father was the rector) are pleasant to wander around. Louth (9 miles away) is considered the Wolds' real 'gateway town' located at the foot of the hills where they meet the Lincolnshire Marsh. It's got a nice cluster of independent shops and cafés. In the opposite direction, try exploring Woodhall Spa (10 miles away). Noted for its mineral springs and its Second World War association with the RAF 617 Squadron, the town is also well known for it's independent cinema – The Kinema in the Woods (01526 352166). It dates from 1922 and is the only fully-functioning cinema in the UK to employ back projection.
Food & Drink
BBQ packs and essentials can be bought on site. The nearest pub is the White Hart Inn (01507 533255) in Tetford but it's worth heading a tiny bit further to the Massingbird (01507) 480492) in South Ormsby (4 miles from the campsite) – relaxed but cosy with good local ales and and tasty fare.

From Horncastle, follow the A158 1 mile out of Horncastle and take the left signposted to Tetford. Stay on this road into Tetford village. Take a right turn at the T-junction (war memorial) and after 500 yards turn left. Pass through the village (pub on the left) and take the turning right at the side of Tetford Church. After a couple of sharp bends turn right onto Clay Lane. Continue 1 mile down this private road to find us at the end of the lane.
From Louth follow the A16 out of Louth towards Boston/ Skegness and take the signposted right turning towards Horncastle/ Cadwell park. Just after Cadwell park, take the left turning, signposted Tetford, and after 5 miles take the right turning signposted Tetford. Continue down Tetford Hill and take the next possible left into the village. Then take the second left (road at side of Tetford Church) and, after a couple of sharp bends, turn right onto Clay Lane. Continue down this private road to find us at the end of the lane.
The nearest train stations are in Lincoln and Grimsby, from there you'll need to get a bus to Tetford via Louth and Horncastle. A car is advised.
