Grass Pitch

UK Wales South Wales Pembrokeshire St Davids Coastal Stay Camping

  • Sleeps 6 (max 6 adults, 5 children)
Our grass pitches are a spacious 8 x 8 meters at minimum, allowing plenty of room and privacy between you and the next pitch. Each grass pitch has views of the Pembrokeshire coast and sea. An optional electric hookup is extra, and subject to availability.

The Owner Says

Every pitch we have provides a view of the Pembrokeshire Coast. We have reduced the number of overall pitches this year and made each one larger. There are a range of pitches available to suit every type of camping setup. Our standard pitch is a spacious eight by eight meters, it is perfect for small, medium and large setups. Forest pitches are offset in a small wooded area, they provide a bit more privacy and shelter from the wind, they can accommodate small and medium tents. As well as these we have a handful of pitches that are suitable for large motorhomes and caravans, they provide easy accessibility in and out of the campsite. We also have two extra large speciality pitches, specifically for dome tents, tipis or other unique setups.

We have five star rated bathroom facilities with a double size hot water power shower, toilet and mirror / wash hand basin. In addition to our luxury bathroom, we have a new toilet and shower block with three hot water showers and two toilets. We also have washing up facilities outside for cleaning dishes and an extended garden water hose for spraying down if necessary. If you’re looking for storage we are adding a couple of lockers this year so people can lock away their valuables when they leave the campsite for the day.

St Davids, the smallest city in British Isles, is just down the road and boasts a wealth of ancient treasures and places to eat and drink. Food & Drink

The onsite pizza shack has proved a massive hit with campers. The Shed Bistro (01348 831518) and The Sloop Inn (01348 831449) in Porthgain are relaxed local favourites for a pint and a bite to eat – the fresh seafood at the former is legendary. Excellent Site, Amazing Views & Marilyn and Nick (owners) are delightful

The location was wonderful, pitches are spacious, the toilets and shower rooms were always clean. It's a 20 minute walk from the local seaside village where there is a pub and restaurant, I swam in the Blue Lagoon (bit chilly, not for the fait hearted) . Ensure guide ropes are in well as can get a little windy. Will be visiting again without a doubt.

Wonderful site, great facilities!

The location was gorgeous, we could see the sea, only a 20 minute walk from the local seaside village with a cute little pub, we also walked to Blue Lagoon. The small lake is lovely, the site is small but perfect, we visited in February, it was very blustery weather, we had the place to ourselves! The bathroom was lovely and warm! Can't wait to go back in the warmer weather :)

Lovely spot, even in December!

We stayed here for three nights in some truly awful weather, the indoor shower room and loo were a real bonus. When the sun came out we saw that the views were gorgeous. Nicely situated and spacious pitched. We’ll definitely come again.

Beautiful place

Really beautiful, peaceful campsite (in November anyway!) and friendly couple who run it. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing views and welcoming owners

We had a late season visit and had the whole site to ourselves! Despite this the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome! Cant beat the views of the coastline from the campsite or the surrounding countryside! Brilliant facilities on the campsite itself and were given plenty of information on local walks and places to eat! The coastal walk is must as well as the fish and chips at The Shed! We didnt visit St David's on this visit but it's one of my fave places to go, the beach and views are amazing! Would definitely stay here again!

Getting There

The campsite is on the backroad between St David’s and Fishguard, on the B4583 (off the A487), in a small village called Llanrhian less than a mile from Porthgain and Abereiddy. If you’re trying to find the campsite via GPS / Sat Nav, their post code is SA626DP. The campsite has a sign outside and a welcome notice board; there is a cattle grid over the entrance and often a little ginger cocker spaniel sleeping on the grass near the road. Go straight to the main house and ring the bell where you will be welcomed.

A frequent bus service stops directly outside the campsite and runs to and from St Davids, Fishguard and Haverfordwest.
