The location makes off-site activities a bit of a no brainer! The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path runs directly alongside the campsite, with a number of circular walks taking in the local beaches – Dale, Watwick, Marloes – and the site is a mere 450 meters walking distance from picturesque Dale village. On the waterfront, West Wales Watersports (01646 636642) offer tuition and hire of sailing dinghies, windsurfs and stand-up paddle boards. Or, take a short drive to Martins Haven where you can take the ferry out to Skomer Island (01646 603123) and marine nature reserve (15 minutes). Dale Fort Field Studies Centre (01646 636205) run short wildlife courses for all the family (1 mile) and there are local charter boat fishing trips for any budding anglers.Food & Drink
You don't need to look far. The Griffin (01646 636227) is 400 meters away – an award winning pub offering fresh seafood and an excellently cosy, family-friendly atmosphere. In the summer, there's a terrace outside too. You can also head down to the Dale Yacht Club's restaurant, Coco's Brasserie (01646 636362), which is open to non-members for lunch and dinner (check their seasonal opening times depending on when you're there). The Boathouse Café (01646 636929) in Dale offers simple food at breakfast and lunch times (again, seasonal opening hours) and also has a small shop selling basic supplies. Slightly further away at Marloes Sands is the wonderful Runwayskiln (01646 636545) - National Trust leased cafe (less seasonal hours but good to check opening times)
Family Friendly
Like nippers on Christmas Day, you need to be prepared for a very early start to enjoy the gift that is Point Farm Campsite. Book early enough, though, and you can bag a pitch at this teeny, tiny campsite and beat the Pembrokeshire crowds.
