Camp in a stunning secluded private nature reserve teeming with wildlife in 22 beautiful acres including the Western Cleddau River, woodland, meadow, thicket, streams and marsh – partly designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Special Area of Conservation. We share our site with otters, birds of prey, resident British birds and visiting migrants, wildflowers (including orchids), butterflies, moths and invertebrates.

With the Pembrokeshire Coast and spectacular beaches only a few miles in one direction and the Preseli Mountains the other we are in a perfect location for all outdoor activities. These are standard spacious grass pitches suitable for a large family. The campsite offers tons of activities and facilities to ensure you are comfortable throughout your stay. They have luxury dry toilets and hot showers with free eco-friendly soap and shampoo, and if the typical Welsh weather is forecast during your stay there is an indoor space to take part in creative workshops including Bird Box making and Beach Debris art. Into The Sticks have a welcome barbecue & bonfire for all their guests and ensure that plenty of activities are available to choose from, for example Ping Pong, Treasure Hunts, Nature Trails, River Fishing, Wildlife Watching & Star gazing. If you fancy something more challenging you can visit Pembrokeshire Coast just 6 miles away and have a go at Surfing, Coasteering, Kayaking and Rock climbing. The campsite offers a weekly communal barbecue and a 24 hour honesty tuck shop for emergency campfire snacks. There is fresh organic produce grown on site and you can also pre-order organic fruit, veg,dairy and whole food products. If you fancy something more substantial you can pop to the local Fish & Chip shop in the village which is 1.5 miles away.

Suitable For

Tents – yes. Campervans, caravans, motorhomes, dogs – no. Families, couples, wildlife enthusiasts all welcome. Whole site bookings can be arranged.


Drive (or cycle) the 6 miles to the Pembrokeshire coast, renowned for its dramatic coastal footpath and excellent beaches (25 beaches within 20 minute drive). Much of it is now a designated national park. Try surfing, sea kayaking and rock climbing, or stay inland to explore the Preseli Mountains (10 miles by car) steeped in history with wild landscape and rocky outcrops. For rainy days, there's a lovely community run cinema in Fishguard – Theatr Gwaun (01348 873421; 6 miles) – with daily films, plays and stand-up comedy or the famous Bug Farm and Grub Kitchen in St Davids (15 miles). It's a short walk or cycle up to the village where there are playing fields and tennis courts, shops and services.

Food & Drink

Fresh organic eggs, herbs, fruit and vegetables are available on the farm and emergency munchies are also available – marshmallows, chocolate, crisps, snack bars and the like all at reasonable prices in our 24hr honesty shop. In summer there are fairly regular communal BBQ or wood fired pizza nights run by the site owners. You can also pre-order organic fruit, veg, dairy and whole foods before your stay. Meanwhile, in Letterston village itself, there is an award winning fish and chip shop and restaurant (01348 840621; 1½ miles) plus a local butcher with groceries (01348 840838). Head a little further for the local pub (01348 840444; 2 miles). A pop-up community café also runs at church hall (¾ mile) each Friday.

Getting There

From the M4 take the A48 to Carmarthen then the A40 to Haverfordwest. Go north on the A40 towards Fishguard. After 10 miles, enter Letterston village and turn left at the crossroads onto the B4331 towards Mathry. We are just outside the village in a secluded valley - detailed directions will be sent on confirmation of booking.
The nearest train stations are in Fishguard (0845 748 4950) and Haverfordwest (0845 748 4950), both with bus connections to Letterston village.
