Pitch Perfect (5)
- Sleeps 4 (max 4 adults, 3 children)
The Owner Says
TEMPORARY NOTE: THERE ARE NO TOILET/SHOWER/WASHING UP FACILITIES WITH THIS PITCH:
During the Covid summer of 2020 we can only offer this pitch if you provide your own toilet, shower and washing up facilities, in line with the current Welsh Government regulations which state that all pitches must have their own private facilities. Please do not book this pitch if you cannot provide these facilities! We have 3 other pitches which include facilities. Thank you! please don't hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss this further. last updated 2/7/20.
Pitch Perfect is located within easy distance of the farmyard and washing facilities (which are normally available). There are lovely views of the meadow in front and larger trees which are bursting with birds! There is a field on the side of the pitch, and the pitch is set within it's own private spot. It is great for camper vans and caravans as there is a gravel area for parking on with an adjacent grass area for relaxing on. It is also suitable for a smaller tent if you wanted the convenience of parking next to your tent. Note that there is no electric hook up, but we can help with recharging (and there is a communal freezer for ice blocks). There is a sloped yard on the approach, so for larger caravans contact us before you arrive so that you can go the alternative route (so the caravan doesn't catch on the slope). Please contact us if you would like to discuss access.
There is a fire bowl and you can buy fire wood and charcoal from the farm shop.
Dogs are most welcome.
Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm is a very special place. It is a working farm with sheep and sometimes cattle in the summer. Hens lay fresh eggs daily and Ben the Collie and Dave the Corgi area always ready to play ball. It is just so peaceful – a place to unwind and listen to the birds. Each camping pitch is carefully laid out in their own private space with only the green countryside to soak up. It is a quiet family-friendly site suitable for families, couples, retired couples and anyone who just loves the great outdoors. BBQs welcome, campfires welcome.
There is a large games barn, with table tennis, pool and darts. The farm shop is well stocked, and there is a larger village shop 2 miles away (or a half an hour walk) where there is a gastro pub The Daffodil Inn Penrhiwllan. There is a petrol station in Llandysul 3 miles away.
The toilet and shower facilities are located on the farmyard in a stylish zinc building, where there is free hot water. There is a dish washing sink and drainer, an open-air wash hand basin for face, teeth and hands; a shower cubicle with a quirky watering can shower; and a toilet and sink cubicle.
Breakfast is available to order in the farmhouse. Guests are encouraged to explore all corners of the 60-acre farm, so bring your wellies! Sorry, we cannot accommodate larger groups. We ask guests to be quiet after 10.00pm.

About Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm
Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm is suited to lovers of the great outdoors, all things organic, birds, wildlife and those who need just a bit of peace and quiet. It is a place where the good life really exists, where the pace is slow and where simple pleasures like good food and a warm fire are all you need. It appeals to those who don't simply want to camp in a crowded field and share facilities with an entire county, it is for those who prefer things a little quieter, where you are based in your own private slice of an organic farm. A place of walks, fires & good food. What more could you want? Maybe a pint from the local micro brewery and a G&T from the local distillery.....
Holidays at Nantgwynfaen are perfectly suited to couples, families, groups, dogs, children and all other nice people.
It's a short drive to Cardigan Bay, famous for its bottlenose dolphins. The Ceredigion Heritage Coast is home to lovely seaside towns and villages like Llangrannog – where you can even go dry-slope skiing – and New Quay, a wonderful little fishing village a few miles south from the colourful harbour town of Aberaeron. There's a host of good beaches and an array of great walking routes, while further south the Pembrokeshire Coast Path takes in the best of the National Park and its dramatic coastline, as does the longer Wales Coast Path. The National Wool Museum (free entry) is a short drive from the farm, while Newcastle Emlyn is 10 minutes away and boasts the ruins of a 13th century castle, good restaurants, and a country market every Friday. The River Teifi offers trout fishing, walking trails and canoeing in most places. This is a great area for Coasteering. There is a comprehensive list of things to do and places to eat in this fabulous area on our website www/organicfarmwales.co.uk.
Food & Drink
There's a farm shop on site specialising in local and organic produce. Ken can make a loaf of flower pot bread to order. Breakfast can also be served in the farmhouse to guests who are not staying for B&B . The price is £15/adult/£7.50/child(2-11)/pp/breakfast and booking is essential (and subject to availability). A couple of miles down the road lies The Daffodil Inn (01559 370343) at Penrhiwllan, a cracking gastropub (listed in the Michelin Guide) with stunning views of the Teifi Valley countryside from its dining room. Teifi Cheese Farm is very nearby and is a lovely place to stock up on local cheese and buy award winning botanical and seaweed gin from their organic distillery (book to go on a distillery tour). Cardigan is a great place to eat in. Buy local crab and other delicacies from the Tuesday Market in St Dogmaels then eat at Pizza Tipi, Crwst, Bara Menyn (amazing sour dough) and El Salsa Mexican street food (you might need a couple of trips!). Fantastic fresh organic vegetables are grown at Glebelands Market Garden (Thurs-Sat) at St Dogmaels. There is a very nice well stocked village shop at Penrhiwllan Stores. More places to eat are listed on our website or can be emailed on request.
