- One of four bell tents on this site
The Owner Says
Onnen is nestled in the corner of one of the small hay meadow.
A double bed and a double futon sleep 4 in comfort, or with a little squeeze a travel cot can be added to take a family of 5 with a small child (please ask when booking) Our tents are equipped with bedding and towels, solar lights and lanterns (although a torch is always handy) On chilly nights you can light the wood burner to keep warm. Our tents are raised up off the ground on a wooden deck, and a well-appointed camp kitchen is a few yards away, with a gas hob, crockery and all basic kitchen utensils, cool box and table and chairs. There is a fire pit too along with the all-important BBQ grill for outdoor cooking.
There are 2 compost loos, 2 showers and 2 washing up sinks near the tents. There is a flushing loo, fidge, freezer, microwave, phone charging point, kettle and WiFi near the parking area.
The Meadow is currently in and Agri-Environment Scheme designed to allow a wide variety of plants to grow and avoid the monocuture rye grass seen in so many fields. Not only does mean it looks beautiful, but it attracts more wildlife and makes delicious hay for the cattle to eat over winter. Because of this the meadow is a "car free zone" You will need to park in the farm yard and walk down the track to your tent, the track is quite steep and uneven in places, but don't worry wheelbarrows are provided so you don't have to carry all your stuff!
Included in the price are:
- Bedding and towels
- Initial supply of wood for stove (extra can be purchased)
- 1 double bed and 1 double futon bed
- Fire pit/ BBQ area
- Solar lights and lantern
- Crockery, cutlery, pans etc
- Private kitchen area

Its around a 10-minute drive to the particularly recommended Daffodil (01559 370343) in Penrwillan and The Belle (01570 480495) at Llanlwnii, both of which are well worth the drive, also the traditional Nags Head pub in Abercych (01239 841200). Response from Henfryn Farm
Henfryn Farm is located at Pentre Cwrt, Llandysul, Carmarthenshire SA44 5BB
The postcode SA44 5BB brings you right down the campsite lane but then stops at their neighbours, keep driving and you will come into the yard. When coming from the West you will come into Pentrecwrt on the A486, as you drop down into the village you take the first left on the B4335. You will come past the Black Horse pub on your right and then a little further, the Plas Parka Pub. Turn 2nd left just after the pub, this is a single track lane tucked in between a hedge and a white house, not the bigger road which is 1st after the pub. If coming from other directions you will likely join the A486 at Llandysul, follow the signs to Pentrecwrt and take the first right onto the B4335 and follow the directions as above.
The nearest trains are at Carmarthen station and from there a taxi to the farm takes about 30 minutes. Limited bus transport.
