The Owner Says

Our 2 gorgeous five metre Bell Tents are set on individual plateaus on the east facing slope of the valley. They are sumptuously furnished with just about everything you’ll need and come complete with their own wood burning stove, fire pit, grill, kettle, and a cooking tripod with a Dutch Oven in which you can cook just about anything from bread to a roast dinner.
New for 2018: Each bell tent now has it's own kitchen shelter.
There is a double bed, plus camping beds available upon request for extra guests. There is also a double ring gas stove in our new kitchen shelter, plus all the pots, pans and utensils you’ll need for your stay. Best of all there is a wood burning stove to keep you warm if the evenings or mornings get a bit chilly. We provide an initial ‘fire pack’ comprising of a basket of logs, a bundle of kindling, fire-lighters and a box of matches. More of all of these can be bought from our honesty shop.
We suggest you bring a torch and a battery powered light for use inside the tent and for those midnight toilet trips, as well as sleeping bags for the kids, wellies, warm clothing, towels, tea towels, dish cloths or sponges, and food.
The incredible generously spaced pitches at Hidden Valley Camping give each tent its own privacy and plenty of level space to sit outside around the campfire and enjoy the stunning views. The Bell Tents are just a stroll from the toilet, shower and washing-up facilities and are just a short walk from the carpark. The site itself is car free and off grid (no power in the tents). Wheelbarrows are available to cart your belongings from car to tent.
Minimum booking for our bell tents is 2 nights (3 nights over Bank holidays).
Hidden Valley Camping is a small, family run glamping and camping site located in the beautiful Teme Valley, in a spectacular "you could be anywhere on the planet" setting.
If it's camping under the stars that you're after, then look no further; we boast an enormous dark night sky - forget the stars, you'll be spotting galaxies!
Dawn brings the most amazing spectacle; just as the sun starts to peak through the canvas of your tent, the thousands of birds that you share Hidden Valley with say their good mornings with an incredible dawn chorus - something that must be heard to be believed.

About Hidden Valley Camping

Suitable For

Tents, children, well-behaved dogs (except in the bell tents), family groups – yes. Caravans, campervans, motorhomes, noisy folk – no.

It's 4 miles to the quaint market town of Tenbury Wells, while well know foodie spots like Bromyard, Leominster and Ludlow are nearby too. There are plenty of National Trust and English Heritage-owned properties in the vicinity. It's 9 miles to Witley Court – a ruined, 17th century, Italianate mansion with extensive grounds to explore – and 12 miles to neo-classical Berrington Hall (01568 615721). In Herefordshire, the beautiful farmed estate of Brockhampton (01885 482077) is also 10 miles away. For a good walk, it takes around 20 minutes to drive to the Wyre Forest, where you can really wear out the kids at a Go Ape (0845 094 9793) if you need to. The West Midlands Safari Park (01299 402114) is another great option for families (20 minutes by car).

Food & Drink

The nearest pub (a 1-mile walk) is The Tally Ho (01886 853241), where portions are generous and well priced (especially the Sunday carvery), though, for some more serious fine dining, The Baiting House (01886 853201) and The Talbot Inn (01584 781941) in Newnham Bridge do Michelin style food and serve great local ales and ciders to wash it all down with. The Bait, in particular, has a wood fired pizza oven and an excellent beer patio, which is usually available when the sun is shining, while the Talbot has a good (but anglicised) tapas menu. The foodie town of Ludlow is a 15 minute drive away – there are regular farmers markets – and award winning local meats are available just down the road from family-run butchers and supermarket, Bowkett's.

Best campsite in UK

Stayed here for 2 nights in the bell Tent (previously camped here too) just amazing stay. Owners are super nice and very attentive. Shop on site which is great. No noise, cars parked well away from tents, no road noise or amplified music (family friendly). Fire pits which are great for BBQ. The actual site is outstandingly beautiful so can do little walks round there. Totally safe for little ones. Toilets and showers and very clean and not too far from tents. The dawn chorus of birds in the morning is just breath taking. I can’t rave about this campsite more, only wish I could keep it a secret!!

Beautiful spot, great hosts, everything you need

Me, my partner and our little girl (6) stayed in one of the bell tents at Hidden Valley for 2 nights and it was just perfect. It’s our first holiday since lockdown but they were so prepared and everything was kept clean and everyone encouraged to clean facilities after themselves. The tent it self was beautiful, so well laid out and well kept, the little kitchen had everything you needed and there was a fire pit/bbq available aswell! There’s a little shop on site where we bought burgers for the first night (from the local butcher too they were delicious!) as well as offering lots of other bits and bobs you may find yourself needing. The views were stunning and the surroundings were beautiful. We went into Ludlow (About half an hour away, had a castle, a market and lots of restaurants and little shops) and Tenbury (About 10 minutes away, has lots of little shops, cafes, pubs and the river is amazing for kids to play in!) and had an amazing day in both, such beautiful towns. This is our first time camping with our little one as I was never a fan but Honestly I couldn’t want for more I really loved our stay :)

An experience worth doing

My husband and I had not been camping for a long time, so when our 8 year grandson suggest camping, well it was not on the top our list. So I searched on the internet and found Glamping at Hidden valley. Well we were all really impressed with the accommodation and facilities on the site. The views from our tent made our experience even more better. Along with the helpfulness of Simon and his staff made the few days away a good one.

Friendly and relaxing weekend bell tenting with the family

This is our second visit to Hidden Valley Campsite. We camped in the top field a couple of years ago and fell in love with the peaceful setting and scenary of this campsite. We returned again this summer and stayed in one of the bell tents and we were not disappointed. The bell tent and kitchen hut were very clean and well equipped. The individual kitchen huts are a great idea with the right amount of utensils to make family cooking easy. The owners were really helpful and genuinely friendly. This is a great site, lovely place to relax and explore the surrounding countryside. Our children are already asking when we will be going back so we will definitely be returning. Thanks! J & H 😊

Peaceful, calm and welcoming

Incredibly warm welcome from fab owners who couldn't have been more lovely. Camp was full for 2 of the nights we stayed but you would never have known there were more than 2 other families there, space between all tents was very large meaning a very peaceful break. Facilities are great, well stocked honesty shop and clean, well maintained facilities. We stayed in 1 of the bell tents which was spotlessly clean and really well furnished with lots of candles and and fairy lights for a really magical look in the evening and the separate kitchen hut was really well thought out and provided the perfect balance of amenities versus the back to basics element of camping that my family love. Will 100% be returning soon! Thank you
