The Owner Says

A circular mown camping area in the long grass (approximately 10 metres in diameter), complete with a fire-pit.
Children are able to explore the grass pathways, play Hide-and-Seek and use their imagination.  Evenings around the campfire chatting with family and friends, watched over (hopefully) by the twinkling stars, allows for a lovely end to the day. To enhance the experience of camping in the meadows, vehicles are left in the  car-park.  Barrows are provided to help move tents and kit to your pitch, unusual  but  fun, especially for children who often get a barrow ride from mum or dad. With cars parked up away from the camping, all can play safely in their surroundings. From here on in – you can relax, chill and enjoy time next to your own camp-fire.
Sorry, we are a tent camping site only and therefore cannot accommodate bookings for caravans or motor homes. We have no electric hook ups anywhere on site.
Friends can usually be placed next to each other. During Low Season 1 September to 31 October 1 car is free with every pitch. Additional cars must be selected as an extra. During Low Season 1 September to 31 October 1 car is free with every pitch. Additional cars must be selected as an extra.

Family Friendly

If Stratford-Upon-Avon's Shakespeare is too high brow for the kids then a little jousting, muck slinging and catapult throwing will liven things up at Warwick Castle. Just make sure no swords or pikes make it back to the campsite.

Fab Family Trip in a Tipi

We recently stayed in Tipi Amitola for 3 nights, 3 adults & 3 kids, and had a great stay. The Tipi was very warm and roomy enough for the 6 of us. We had the added bonus of a well-equipped private outdoor kitchen area and a covered table with bench seats within a roped-off area that made it feel even more secluded. A firepit outside the tipi for toasting marshmallows and watching the stars late at night and a fire bowl/bbq for cooking over along with a camping stove for a quicker brew, made for an easy trip. The showers were hot and kept clean and a freezer to keep ice packs cool. This is a nice site and we will return if we venture this way again.

Super cosy in the Shepherds Hut

Stayed in the Orchard Hut over bank holiday weekend for my partners 30th birthday and what a lovely time we had. The hut was fully equipped with everything we needed, the bed was comfier than a hotel and the whole experience was made better by the lovely staff on hand to help. The personal shower and toilet make the glamming experience that much better. Will definitely be back and would definitely recommend :)

A brief yet relaxing visit!

Just returned from a single nights' camping. Such a tranquil site and nicely set up in the meadows so you get a sense of escape from the city and feel really relaxed in the countryside. The views are fantastic and moreover it is really safe for young children to run around freely in. The facilities are great and the on-site shop sells all essentials including a fantastic coffee! There are also local supermarkets less than 10mins away and likewise some lovely local places to explore from here. Will definitely be booking a visit (for longer) next year!

Pristine campsite with great staff and facilities

This was our first time camping on a site with our friends . It was absolutely superb . Well organised site , very very clean , good shower facilities and toilets . Each pitch was far enough from others to feel private and secluded . I would highly Recommend this site to families it’s a beautiful part of the country and feels remote even though you are only a few miles from Stratford upon Avon . Shops are close by . We found that the Morrison’s in Stratford was better stocked than the closer Sainsbury’s and there is a good coop nearby as well . Highly recommend

Old-fashioned camping at its best

Gorgeous campsite, even when full at the weekend the spacing between pitches meant that we were never overlooked. We had a wonderful time despite pretty bad British weather. Only faults would be, as previously mentioned: a proper toilet block in lower field would be good; showers kept dropping their pressure and going cold on a busy Saturday morning; and the water tasted ODD. Really odd. Despite using different taps. We even found that it curdled the milk (both dairy and soya, both of which were definitely kept cold and definitely in date) in our tea. I kept expecting to get a dodgy tummy but we were all ok. Perhaps just one of those things, but I think they sell giant bottles of mineral water in the shop for this very reason. Buy one!!

Response from Twitey's Tipis and Camping Meadows

Hello and very many thanks for your review.
We do find that our camper's love the open space between pitches which also allows for open fires to work safely.
And thanks for positively letting us know about certain areas where we need to improve.
We have this year connected to the mains water supply and expect to improve water-pressure and water taste ready for the new season next year.
Sorry you had a few issues but still hope you will visit us again.
Very best wishes,
Michael, Kay and the team.
