The Owner Says

Our shepherd huts are the perfect getaway for a couple or small family. They can comfortably accommodate two adults in a small double bed, which will be made up and have space for up to two children as well. There is a cooker inside and outdoor seating with fire pit... fortune telling is optional! During your stay, you will have use of our eco loos and hot showers which are housed in upcycled horse boxes.

Farrs Meadow looks out across the Stour Valley and is perched on a hill and surrounded by woodland. It is a only few minutes walk by footpath to the River Stour where campers can swim and fish. The pretty Vine pub, in the thatched hamlet of Pamphill, is a short stroll across the fields and it is only a 15-minute walk to Wimborne Town centre, with all its facilities and visitor attractions.

Our site also lies on the National Cycle Network, Route 25. A selection of great routes can be followed by those wishing to explore the area by bicycle.

We can also arrange fly fishing on one of Dorset's finest and most private chalk streams, the River Allen, on the Deans Court's beat.  Course fishing can be arranged on the River Stour, again on the private banks of Deans Court Estate.

Great location, basic in a creative way - everything you need

Very close to a river. Short walk to the town. Liked the horse-trailers converted into a shower, friendly host Dave, good value for money. Not at all pretentious. Had a great night's sleep.

Super campsite with very helpful staff

I recently stayed at Farr's Meadow with my husband, there young children and dog. From the moment we arrived David made us feel very welcome. He was extremely helpful- took all our camping gear up to the pitch, helped us choose our pitch and explained where to find everything. There was plenty of space between tents. The campsite has everything you need- fire pits, warm showers, facilities for washing up, long drop toilets. The children loved the goats and chickens that are on site. The local area is beautiful- 5 mins walk to the river where we went for a lovely walk. Lots of people were playing in the water- paddle boarding, swimming etc. Wimborne Minster is a nice town too. We spent most of our time at the beach. So many to choose from but some aren't dog-friendly during the summer so we went to Sandbanks and Branksome Dene. Both are stunning. Thank you David for a wonderful stay. We will definitely return to Farr's Meadow in the future.

A hidden gem

Spent 3 nights here in September, it's a charming little spot. The management are really helpful and informative. The converted horse box showers are quirky but brilliant. I'd thoroughly recommend this site

Absolutely Perfect

I recently stayed in a Gypsy caravan with my little dog Archie. We were so lucky to have the whole field to ourselves. We were met by David who made us feel so at home. The Gypsy caravan was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for our stay, bed was so comfy and cosy, so many lovely little touches, tilly lamps, tea lights, cushions and wonderfully decorated. A bonus was the fire pit outside, so lovely to sit outside at night. The horse boxes for toilets and showers was a lovely idea. Lovely walks and the river at Eyebridge just 5 mins away was heaven. David, Olivia and all the staff are all so lovely and do a wonderful job keeping the camp site clean and tidy. We had the most fantastic stay and will definitely be coming back again next year. Thank you David for making our stay so memorable and we were very sad to leave. See you in 2021

Perfectly described and one of my perfect counting experiences.

Perfectly as described and one of my perfect camping experiences. The place is a gem. David and his staff were terrific and always ready to help particularly with getting gear onto the campsite from the car park using their transport. Definitely a place to return to!
