They are equipped with cooker ,basic cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery and outside also have a table with outdoor seating and fire pit. Our yurts ideally suit a family of four (two adults and two children). The double bed will made up, all you need to bring is the kids' bedding and towels. The yurts are located at the top of our meadow but we will deliver your belongings directly to your door, just ask one of us on site! During your stay, you will have use of our eco loos and hot showers which are housed in upcycled horse boxes.

Farrs Meadow looks out across the Stour Valley and is perched on a hill and surrounded by woodland. It is a only few minutes walk by footpath to the River Stour where campers can swim and fish. The pretty Vine pub, in the thatched hamlet of Pamphill, is a short stroll across the fields and it is only a 15-minute walk to Wimborne Town centre, with all its facilities and visitor attractions.

Our site also lies on the National Cycle Network, Route 25. A selection of great routes can be followed by those wishing to explore the area by bicycle.

We can also arrange fly fishing on one of Dorset's finest and most private chalk streams, the River Allen, on the Deans Court's beat.  Course fishing can be arranged on the River Stour, again on the private banks of Deans Court Estate.

Just what we needed

We've just returned from a perfect couple of days at Farrs Meadow. It was just what we needed! Back to basics and simple enough to get back to nature and switch off but all the essentials there if you need them. We walked through the fields to the diary which provided a lovely Sunday lunch in a giant Yorkshire pudding- yum, great for families as has a playground and icecream, we had a trip to the model village, and went swimming in the river. Other than that we just relaxed infront of the campfire and stargazed. We made some happy memories and will definitely be back again soon.

Super sunny safe week of fun

We have just returned home from an amazing week at Farrs Meadow with friends. David greeted us the moment we arrived and swiftly ferried all two car loads of equipment to our pitch. He was extremely helpful throughout our stay and connected with our boys well. Idyllic quiet setting on a hill-so peaceful and safe for our children who made their own entertainment and friends in the stable next to us.They loved playing with the chickens and goats and just roaming around in the fields and tree swings. The nearby river was totally picturesque relaxing and great fun for three boys who loved jumping off the bridge and banks. Weather was perfect as we visited beaches, went crabbing, Paddleboarding and walk to nearby Wimbourne. Thank you for a wonderful time David.

We love Farrs Meadow!

This campsite is special. Why? Because it's in a beautifully peaceful rural setting with outstanding views across the Dorset countryside. It's also only a hop, skip and a jump from Wimborne which made it very handy for shops and pubs/restaurants etc. We loved the eco-ness of it. 'Natural' loos in horse boxes, solar powered showers (also in horse boxes!!) and proper recycling and rubbish sorting too. Another reason this place gets the thumbs up is because it's small. Some camp sites are huge though this one felt small and chilled. The secret garden we didn't discover until we were checking out which was devastating because had we known, we would have been going there every evening to chill. The secret garden is a bit like an idyll. We will definitely be returning to Farrs Meadow and next time, the tents will stay in our loft and instead we will be spending the weekend either in a shepherd's hut which look divine or one of those amazing yurts. One last thing before I go, the owner David is a very nice man who helped us lug all our stuff down to our car using his capacious 4x4. Oh and Olivia was lovely too. So all things considered, this place is excellent and we can't wait to come again next year.

Loved it!

We've just spent a fab sunny weekend in the shepherd's hut for our sons 11th birthday. We loved it. A beautiful little site, super friendly staff, gorgeous views, and the shepherd's hut itself was cosy, comfy and had everything that we needed. We really enjoyed walking our greyhound all around the surrounding areas, loved the wild swimming, and had a great meal at the Olive Branch on the Saturday night. Would highly recommend & we'll definitely be back!

Perfectly rustic charm

We had the pleasure of spending a few days camping at Farrs Meadow, a single parent with two girls in tow and joined the camp with a friend and her son. We all had a wonderful and restful stay in this peaceful haven. David and his team were so welcoming. Hidden away in the woods and a hillside, a lovely campsite small enough to be safe yet big enough for the kids to freely explore for themselves. The horsebox showers and loos were a bit different and the chickens and goats were a joy.
