Here you’ll find a detailed history of the long board in our native waters, including sketches of Hawaiian surfers by Captain Cook’s crew, airbrushed surf art on early boards and photos of the locals riding the waves on wooden planks in the 1920s. Ocean views pretty sweet!

The view is certainly that, of the ocean! It's in a prime location and has a fun feel Nd energy to the place, the staff are friendly, the facilities really great and clean. The Biffin cafe on site did excellent posh breakfasts and delicious healthy meals, people came from outside the campsite to buy takeaway as their reputation obviously travels far between the locals, we loved the katsu night :) again the team were lovely! Well done ocean pitch x

Chilled At Ocean Pitch

We LOVED our stay at Ocean Pitch campsite. We stayed from Tuesday to Saturday- our first visit to Croyde. The campsite isn't too big which makes it feel cosy and has a chilled peaceful vibe. We stayed in Pitch 3 with a VW T5 van and good sized awning. The guys running the place were very friendly and helpful and kept the place clean and tidy. Adequate facilities, shower and toilet block, area for washing up and excellent recycling area for waste. There is an area to hang wetsuits and external shower to wash down if needed. We opted for a non electric site but was able to use the fridge and freezer in the reception office for no extra cost. There was an onsite cafe/van "Biffin Kitchen" which served breakfast and hot drinks in a morning and hot Moroccan style wraps in an evening which was very popular with on site campers and non residents. There is also a Pizza van selling amazing stone baked pizzas which was only a 3 min walk away . We would highly recommend this place lots of couples there but also a few families. Definitely be back next year!!!

Simply Brilliant....

This was our second trip to Ocean Pitch and it gets even better. As we stayed earlier in the year we were super excited to stay again. We had 3 glorious days which included, visiting Ilfracombe, a 'romantic' evening on the beach with our boys and ...a full day's body boarding..... We were greeted warmly by the owner and using the facilities for the first time I have to say they were really clean and a pleasure to use. I was sad to leave but, we are definately returning next year, thanks Ocean Pitch you're campsite is fab... The Dymond family xx

Great views, Very Friendly

We loved our stay here, we spent 2 nights at the campsite and found the facilities to be at a high standard every time we used them, very clean. The views were great and it is so close to the beach. The staff were really friendly and so were the staff in Biffens Kitchen. Highly recommend Biffens Kitchen, amazing food!

Great campsite and location

The campsite had everything you needed, warm showers, communal fridge and freezer, staff onsite till 10.30pm, wetsuit dry area 2 min walk to the beach, breakfast and dinner onsite if you needed it. We went when the site was fully booked and didnt ever have to cue for toilets or showers. Staff very attentive, pitch big enough for car, large tent and outdoor space for sitting and cooking. Would recommend and visit again.
