The perfect retreat

I was impressed with everything - from the pitches to the lake, even the showers exceeded my expectation and provided a very pleasant start to the day. Somehow the combination of having the facilities you need, along side feeling connected to the wild is all mixed perfectly. Highly recommended.

Brilliant campsite

We loved staying here, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the whole site had a really relaxed feel to it. Great facilities - lovely hot showers, washing up facilities and toilets both flushing and composting. The site felt quite wild in places and the facilities had been sympathetically placed in the landscape to retain the feel. The Tipi field looked great although we only camped but each pitch had its own firepit with logs available from reception. The absolute hidden gem though is the private lake with a beautiful deck to dive straight off into the water and boats and canoes available to use at your leisure and free of charge, there were also life jackets available to grab if needed too. Really great location too, close to Port Isaac, Polzeath and Rock with Padstow only half an hour away by car (quicker to get the ferry from Rock across the estuary though)

Lovely secluded stay

Pitches are fairly private and a good size. Lake in the middle is amazing with boats free of charge to use. Plenty of sites to see within 20 mins drive.

Lovely campsite with great facilities

This campsite was wonderful, great showers and toilets, lots of space and lots to see around the campsite - lake, gastro pub, animals. also well located close by to beaches and coastline for walks, surfing, SUP etc. Will come back!

Lovely secluded campsite with a great vibe

We had a great three night break at the campsite. The pitches in the wood are nicely secluded, the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food on offer at the cafe was top-notch (particularly the amazing breakfast rolls). The only negative was the one-way system for driving around the campsite, which means you have to drive out of the campsite and around to the entrance again after you have dropped your stuff at the pitch site.
