You can walk from the campsite out on to Truthwall Common, the edge of West Penwith Moors within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Here you can see the Tregeseal Stone Circle and take a dip in a nearby pool. The moors stretch all the way to St Ives, more than 10 miles away. Cape Cornwall is a mile-and-a-half from from site. You can walk there or drive the short distance and park up at the National Trust car park. The stunning South West Coast path passes here and an open-top bus provides a service along the coast. The Priest’s Cove, just below, is a rocky beach with a small sea water pool carved out of the rocks and a slipway for local fishermen. Sennen Beach is six miles away Gwynver Beach, just before it. St Just (two miles from site) is a good spot for picking up supplies, eating out and browsing independent shops and galleries. The South Coast Beaches of Perranunthnoe and Praa Sands are within 20 miles of site too.
Food & Drink
Rebecca can organise deliveries of milk, bread and a few other basics from a nearby dairy. There’s a pub with a beer garden, The Queens Arms (01736 788 318), half a mile down the road in Botallack. For more places to eat out and pick up supplies, head to St Just (two miles away) where there’s plenty of choice; the Dog and Rabbit (01736 449811) café comes recommended.

Getting There
From the Mount Misery Roundabout on the A30, just past Penzance, turn right on to the A3071, signposted for St Just. After six or seven miles you reach St Just. Pass through the town staying on the road and at the bottom of a steep hill, there are two right hand turns separated by a pottery. Take the one that goes to the left of the pottery; No-Go-By Hill. Follow this for just over half a mile until you see a sign on the right for Ryn Gwari Farm.
The nearest train station is at Penzance from where you can hop aboard the A17 Atlantic Cruiser bus towards Pendeen. The closest bus stop is after St Just, about a ten-minute walk from site. The same route can take you to St Ives and be used to return after walks on the South West Coast Path.
