Best Campsite, best owners
We have just come back after an amazing weekend there. A storm destroyed our tent, but the owner couldn't have been nicer, helping us etc The campsite itself is wonderful, great showers and amazing location. Just go there!
Fab location , relaxed , natural vibe , we’re coming back !
Such a wonderful natural camping experience .Superb location and views . Watching the sun rise up over the sea from the camping field was a highlight . Loved the semi covered picnic area for eating if it rained , or board games or just hanging out . Showers were hot and the phone charge area and freezer for ice blocks and food was handy . The best bit though was experiencing the closest thing to wild camping on an actual site . It was free and spacious and the natural hedgerows were bursting with berries and buzzing with wildlife . Very special place and can’t wait to come back .!
What a beautiful location!
I had a wonderful camping stay here with my children, the location is just amazing and one of the best I have stayed at in Cornwall. The campsite is lovely and clean, it has a chilled atmosphere and is the perfect location to tour around the west of Cornwall. We travelled to Sennon Cove, St Ives and Penzance with ease. The composting toilets are brilliant, the children soon got used to them. The showers are hot and there are even charging sockets for your phone etc. We will definately be returning.
Beautiful clean site
A lovely quiet relaxed site with well-spaced out pitches across several different fields all nicely sheltered by good hedging. The long drops loos were clean and some of the nicest we have used, the showers and communal area are great. We had a lovely afternoon in Coverack out on the water and then spent a wonderful evening having a barbecue and campfire under magnificent dark skies. The views across the fields were absolutely stunning and the native hedgerows were buzzing with bees and butterflies. Plenty of great walking to be done with lots of opportunities for ice-creams, cream teas, pasties, etc to be found in Coverack and surrounding villages. The campsite also has well signposted water points and waste/recycling area. All in all an idyllic spot!
Beautiful location, wonderful site owners
The campsite is located just a 5 minute off-road walk from the beautiful harbour of Coverack, which is a wonderful place to enjoy an evening swim, drink and takeaway fish and chips. For such a small place the village stores stocks a really good supply too. The campsite itself is immaculate- the facilities kept in amazing state throughout our stay. It was an incredibly peaceful stay. And we couldn’t have asked for more welcoming site owners. We cannot wait to visit again. Thank you
A wonderful experience, to reignite our love of camping .
Thank you so much for having us ! We came to your campsite as campers who have not been under canvas for many years and we could not have asked for more. The sites were a lovely size, we didn’t feel like we were on top of our neighbours at all. We would never have guessed this was your first season, the site was so professionally set up. The showers and toilets were absolutely fine and much nicer than we were expecting for long drop toilets. But it was the tranquility of the site and the peaceful surroundings that really made it special for us. The walk down to the village through the woods was just lovely and made a great early morning dog walk. I think there is every danger that we will be back next summer - thank you so much for reigniting our love of camping.
Brilliant site. Excellent location.
The site is well located for lands end, lizard penisular, beaches etc. The village is great and dog friendly. There are excellent local shops in the nearby villages and some good restaurants. Larger sainsbury's also quite accessible. The site is lovely with many smaller fields for more privacy, pitches are a good size. Hosts very helpful and gave us a very good quiet pitch for our large dog. Showers and toilets clean and showers good with hot water. Plenty of toilets. Good local surf and sailing schools which our daughter used. Would definitely camp here again.
Brilliant campsite, lovely location. We will be back.
One of the best sites of its type we've ever stopped on. VERY chilled atmosphere, basic but more than adequate facilities, shower block even had communal phone charger sockets where people had just left phones/laptops etc to charge - that sort of atmosphere about the place, it just felt safe. Long drop toilets were an experience, not smelly as such, more of an earthy rabbit hutch type smell. Not unpleasant. If you go into Coverack make sure you use the short cut through the forest (Lovers Walk) to get into the village, don't use the road its a LOT longer. The village itself is lovely, nice hotel/pub on the cliff top with great views, nice little harbour where you could take your drinks and a fish and chip shop. All in all definitely recommend Coverack Camping - we will be back and will stay more than the one night !!
Wonderful relaxed campsite in gorgeous location
I had a wonderful stay. Basic but very lovely campsite a few minutes walk in to gorgeous Coverack. Highly recommend the wonderful coastal walks and a pint in the harbour as the sun sets.
Lovely, quiet campsite
What a lovely find! Beautiful campsite with good, clean showers and toilets. Sea views from a lot of the pitches. A short walk into Coverack village which has a shop selling delicious takeaway pizza and ice creams plus fish and chips. Roskillys farm nearby was a wonderful experience and you’ll find yourself going back even just for the ice cream (we recommend the “ cream tea” flavour) ! We visited the Minack theatre, Kynance Cove and Kennack sands plus a lovely walk along the coastal path from Coverack to the sculpture park. Plenty to do here and we’ll definitely be back!
We spent 4 nights here and absolutely loved it. Although basic, the facilities were great and well looked after. A short walk down to the beach and a great area to explore. The pitches were generous and so you didn't feel like you were on top of other campers- with a 2 year old, this was especially important (we stayed in Donkey Field). Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Absolutely lovely place and campsite.
Our experience in the donkey field was amazing and will stay in my memory forever. All of the facilities were very good and only a short scenic walk from the camp down to the beach and Coverack village. The pitches were spacious with a lot of privacy whilst also being very social. It was an ideal place to stay if you want to experience the rest of Cornwall as well. It would, however, been lovely to meet the owners as we would have given them our thank you’s.
Really peaceful and ideal spot for walkers. It was a great space - room to move and well spaced out. Good facilities and friendly staff. I will recommend it to others.
Great campsite in fab location
Lovely campsite. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Showers, although broken on the first day of our stay were promptly fixed, and once working were lovely and hot. Location is great! Short walk down the hill into Coverack, or over to Porthbeer. Pitches were big enough to feel like you had some privacy. Communal freezer by the showers was very handy. Lots of toilets and water taps dotted around the site which made it much more relaxing than having to walk over to a central block every time! Toilets were always well-stocked with loo-roll. All in all a lovely place to stay - we would definitely stay again!
Beautiful, peaceful setting.
This was our first coolcamping booking, I must admit I was a little reserved regarding the facilities or lack of compared to typical sites we have visited. I really liked that we was given our pitch number by email and we didn't have to deal with the check in process. Lucky for us we had pitch 44 on the donkey field. It holds the best view of the bay and slightly out the way of other guests. Facilities, ok there is electric in the main building which holds the showers and washing area, so you can charge things there. Toilets, I'll leave that for you to experience yourselves. Coverack itself if beautiful, 5 minute walk, (I do suggest if your slightly bigger to take the road was as I struggled with the kissing gates.) In the town you'll find only a hand full of shops, a pub and chip shop. The nearest supermarket is 25 minutes away and found doing this trip a little bit of a chore as we couldnt stock up hense the limited pitches with electricity. All in all knowing what I no now, I would go back tomorrow. We stayed with 2 children and they want to go back too
Initially checked in for two nights and stayed longer. Excellent location as you can walk to town in 10 minutes down a sweet trail. The toilets were always clean and the showers warm. A realy friend host and very accommodating. Big thumbs up for families and couples alike. Clovelly is a hidden gem.
Lovely peaceful campsite
We stayed 3 nights in Donkey field and loved it all! Pitches were spacious around the edge of the field with plenty of room to enjoy ball games in the middle. There were two toilets in our field that were kept clean, never ran out of loo roll and always lit at night. The shower block was a quick walk through one field, it was basic but clean and the water was always warm. Coverack is so beautiful and it’s so easy to walk down to, just slightly harder on the legs coming back up!
Great little campsite, it’s got everything you need and at great value. We found it was a good base for exploring the rest of Cornwall. Would recommend!
A truly wonderful five days
I stayed at Coverack Camping in my bell tent, alone for a few days, and then joined by a friend. I will definitely be returning. The site was perfectly located on the hill above Coverack, with sea views and tents spaced out around the small, hedge lined fields. All other campers were friendly and respectful, long drop loos were clean, and showers were hot. I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier space to spend my five day retreat from the crowds.
Far from the madding crowd
What a sheer delight! Complete accident we happened upon this site, but what a find. We managed to escape and find tranquility in this calm and relaxing site. The vibe was chilled and the people friendly. Although a surprise, we soon became used to the eco friendly toilets, which were clean and well stocked up with loo roll . The showers were also basic, but clean and warm. This was a real escape from it all and the walk to the pub was much easier than the walk back! Oh well, back to the rat race and dreams of returning.
We stayed in Donkey field for 6 nights and what a lovely place it is! Friendly hosts, lovely views and good amenities. The long drop toilets were well stocked with toilet paper and kept clean. Showers were warm most times we went and camping neighbours were friendly and considerate. Great that there is a freezer. Short walk to the village and beautiful beach. We will be back!
Wonderful campsite with beautiful views!
Absolutely incredible location for a campsite with Coverack village only a 10 minute walk down the scenic Lovers Lane. Wonderful views of the sea from the fields, each divided by hedges giving natural privacy. Perfect location for sunset and sunrise and the stargazing at night took my breath away. Massive thank-you to Jake, Annette and Judith! We will certainly be visiting again :)
We spent a really enjoyable week at the coverack campsite. There were a good range of fields to stay in, numerous composting toilets, which were kept clean and stocked with toilet rolls regularly. Plenty of water points and a block for showers, washing up and picnic tables. The showers were clean and hot. There is quick access to coverack village and the sea via lovers walk from the site, or walking via the road, which we did most nights to the Paris pub in the village, which is recommended for friendliness and view of the sea. It was a very pleasant, un stressful campsite to stay and would definitely return. Thank you Jake and Annette.
We Stayed in the Donkey field for a week with my family it was spacious and my children had fun running around every morning. It could have been much better if they put a playground for the children especially if you are planning to stay long (although we are out every day but still). In terms of the facilities toilets and sink is clean daily which is good. I would recommend though to add shortcuts from the donkey field to the facilities because you have to go around in order for you to use showers and washing. Overall it was perfect. (A PLAYGROUND IS A MUST :))
Great campsite and location
Super nice owners very relaxed feel. Generous pitches and very little traffic so quiet and safe for families. Coverack great little harbour with good choice of food.
Excellent base for exploring the Lizard
The site hosts were welcoming and happy to answer questions and help. The showers and compost toilets were spotless cleaned every morning, there was a comunual freezer, undercover washing up area and picnic area with electric sockets for charging phones or other appliances the compost toilets were a bit smelly at times, but no more than many public toilets, but as said already spotlessly clean. There were several fields, we stayed in main field where there were 4 EHU pitches. These were spacious but close to road, I would have worried if I had small children or our dog with us. The bins were opposite and overflowing but no fault of the campsite, there was an issue with the BIffa company. However the hosts were quick to update everyone and it was sorted, didn't spoilthe holiday at all. There was a short walk to Coverack and alingvthe coastal path to the Sculpture park which was a surprise and worth a stroll We visited Falmouth and Pendennis Castle, St Michael's Mount, Porthcurno, Lands End, S Ives, Gunwalloe, Kennack Sands, Kynance Cove, Lizard Point and Mullion.Lots to do and see a beautiful area. Would recommend the site but it is as described, no thrills
Basic but perfect!
We have just returned from a wonderful week’s camping. The facilities were basic but very clean and well thought through. We had lots of space and a lovely view. It was an easy walk to the beach and an easy drive to lots of lovely places to visit and eat Roskilly ice cream!
We really enjoyed 3 nights in the Donkey Field. There was so much space. As there was no light pollution we could see galaxies and constellations that we had never seen before. The showers were great, the toilets were well distributed and much better than chemical ones. The views and little details were beautiful!
Beautiful Views, Basic Facilities
We have just returned from a week camping, though we did leave a day earlier than planned due to strong winds! This campsite is well located for great coastal walks and plenty to do a short drive away. I loved that there were charging points and that the campsite was eco friendly, however, the water for the showers and washing up was rather cold! The compost toilets could be smelled a mile off too, I was glad our tent pitch was quite far away and that we’d taken a cassette toilet with us! We’ve used compost toilets before, but they have been covered regularly with soil or wood shavings and never smelled anywhere near as bad! All in all we loved it though, the best bit being the atmosphere and our friendly fellow campers who were all lovely!
Would stay again
We had a weeks stay. Loved the location of the site, that fact that you could walk in to Coverack with out needing the car was great. Think I would choose the donkey field next time. I feel it would be better as we felt a bit close to other campers on the pitch we had (20). The shower where basic but kept clean and well maintained. However the toilets took a bit of getting used to, but they where one of the reasons why we chose the site. I’ve never experienced composting toilets before. We would definitely stay at this site again, lovely owners and a clean basic site, what more could you ask for.
Arrived and set up camp ,we had a look around and found the excellent shower block with ample charging . The sea view was an added bonus. Then we strolled to the village and no found this a lovely harbour with a large beach. Would recommend and maybe even visit again.
Clean campsite with great views
Lovely campsite with great views, perfect for visiting Coverack and Lizard. The compost loos and kitchen area seemed clean. Respectful atmosphere — no loud speakers or parties. Quick walk to Coverack and coastline.
Brilliant little campsite, loved our time here and will be coming back !
My husband and I with our springer spaniel Fred, stayed at this lovely natural site. Short walk to the village along a path and straight to the harbour for food and beverages. The facilities were very clean and perfect for us. Hosts were fabulous and helped us book a last minute stay. Very friendly warm and welcoming.
Great views and a lovely site
The site is well organised with good toilet and shower Facilities. The views from our pitch (Bay field) are stunning and the walk to the village and sea was well marked and short. In Coverack there are two good pubs and a fish and chip restaurant as well as grocery store sticking all you need. A sweet little harbour has boat trips and there is a beach for swimming from. You can walk along the coast path easily from here and access to many beautiful coves along the lizard peninsular is a short drive. The site was quiet and we will are looking forward to our next trip there
A super few days at Coverick
Booked 3 days at the campsite. Arrived and pitched, facilities were great, showers hot, plenty of thunder boxes,(toilets). Very friendly, everyone at the site spoke to us, quite location, staff were outstanding, could not do enough for us, will rebook again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay......
Stayed here last week in donkey field lovely view of the bay. Pitches very good size, facilities kept clean. Great to hear tawny owls calling every night. Would stay again and recommend.
Beautiful, peaceful site with stunning sea views
We had a fantastic stay in Bay Field and woke up to wonderful sea views. The site is very friendly, peaceful and well equipped. Great showers, clean and warm. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back again soon.
I like this place as our 1st camping experience because it was quiet we had plenty of space, amazing walks around, great little village with a good beach that its great for kids and also fishing around the rocks if you want to. Great little shops in town we loved specially one in a tiny house on your way down that sells ice creams oh my god... Best ever ice cream we ever had!!!. The only down bit but thats because we are a bit peculiar its the unisex toilets, as a parent that its not great but noticed that many people camping have their own toilet so its our next thing on the list, showers where great plenty of sockets by the shower if u need to charge your phone, and a shared fridge if u needed. Overall yeah great place
Welcoming, quiet, relaxed and not over-developed - Perfect!
My wife and I (and our dog) had the most wonderful week based from Coverack Camping July 21. The pitches are enormous, the facilities basic but perfectly fit for purpose and immaculately clean, and the relaxed rules meant we were able to enjoy (raised) campfires every evening overlooking Coverack Bay. The absence of additional development (playgrounds, manicured and demarked pitches, on-site shop etc) provided exactly the rustic and relaxed setting for which we were looking. As for location/activities, once there you needn't drive at all! The South West Coastal Path and numerous other public footpaths are within a stone's throw, the sheltered bay no more than 10 mins walk away is perfect for swimming and paddleboarding/kayaking and a beautiful coastal walk will get you to the delights of Roskilly's Farm within 90 minutes. We could not recommend it highly enough!
Nice week in Cornwall
We had a bit of a rainy stay in Cornwall but this was a really nice campsite that we based ourselves in. Lots of room to pitch our enormous tent and quiet at night. Good showers and the compost toilets were comfortable and well lit. Friendly and amenable owners, even though we turned up after 9pm and had to pitch in the dark.
Lovely location with just a few minutes walk to Coverack which is a cute little village that has quite a lot to offer for its size. Shower was great! Hot water always available and really good water pressure. Composting toilet didn’t smell and was always found clean. There’s also a little covered area where you can cook, sit, charge devices, etc. Campsite exceeded expectations!
Fantasting location, great views
I stayed for 2 nights in mid June, the views are amazing and great access to some incredible walks. The site was still undergoing some upgrades or improvements when i was there so there were few amenities, however when that's all finished I'm sure this will be one of the best camp sites around, great for getting away from the hustle and bustle of town or city life. Will stay again in the future, thank you for having me at that time.
