Boutique woodland camping in beautiful yurts and bell tents at the foot of the South Downs

With a name like Plush Tents Glamping, we were hoping for some serious creature comforts at this glamping getaway in West Sussex... and we weren't disappointed. Nestled in woodland at the foot of the South Downs and close to the historic city of Chichester, this small but perfectly formed off-the-grid campsite at Densworth Farm offers beautiful yurts and bell tents set amongst trees and wild flowers in a picture-perfect spot.

With a range of different sized canvas creations to everyone from suit camping couples to families of up to four, each 'plush tent' comes lovingly prepared and waiting for you on arrival, complete with proper beds and all the bedding. For large groups there's the Mongolian-style Family Yurt decorated with ceiling drapes, natural coir flooring, scatter cushions, cosy blankets and an oak double bed (plus two floor mattresses that are ideal for kids). The antique wood burning stove adds to the authenticity and a hamper with tea and coffee making kit is an added thoughtful touch. The Family Bell tent is decorated with natural coir flooring, a memory foam mattress on futon base with two floor mattresses for the children. The tent is equipped with a coffee table, torch and sheepskin rug. There is also a smaller Friends Bell Tent that sleeps up to three adults.

Teaming up with Michelin-trained chef Sam Mahoney, Plush Tents offer glampers a delicious selection of breakfast and picnic hampers, freshly prepared and delivered to on the morning/day of your choice – the perfect way to kick-start your day. Then every evening a bonfire is lit which you can gather round with fellow guests and while away the hours. There's even a wood-fired hot tub to soak in – didn't they tell us this place was plush?

Set in the rolling West Sussex countryside there's plenty of local exploring to be done. Take a stroll and see if you can spot or, if you're lucky, hear Densworth's resident green woodpecker. Why not take advantage of mother nature's larder and arrange a foraging walk to collect your wild ingredients for a campfire feast. The Plush Tents team can point you in the right direction.

Whether you're after a romantic break, a fun-filled weekend with the family or a group getaway from the big city, Plush Tents provide the perfect combination of back-to-nature camping with fuss-free glamping. So go on, treat yourself.

Book a stay at Plush Tents!
It was a treat to stay at Plush Tents. We received a warm welcome and were set up perfectly for our stay. The camp is well designed with loads of seating areas and we made the most of the communal cooking area for breakfast prep. Next time we'd also make sure to bring bbq kit for the personal cooking areas outside each yurt. Bathrooms were kept spotless and showers were warm. A highlight was being served an evening hot chocolate by the campfire. We would definitely visit again.

My son and I have recently returned from Plush Tents for the third time in two years. For us it's the ideal place to leave all our stress and worries behind and chill out in a beautiful woodland. For us the huge wood fired hot tub and communal fire make this place really special. As always the yurt was wonderful and it made a lovely change to visit in Autumn as we usually come in spring , the transformation through the seasons is stunning. This time we cooked jacket potatoes in the open fire and roasted chestnuts in an old baked been time that we collected from the trees on the site . My son and I had a fantastic time as always and can't wait to return again next year. Thanks to all the staff whom were brilliant as always making sure our stay was perfect.....

what a delightful time my friends and I had at plush tents. From the moment we got there we were welcomed by the lovely plushtents staff. After a breathtaking tour of the site, we settled into our yurts... Which were beautiful from quality cotton sheets to facilities to play your own music. My friends and I spent two days at plush tents; cooking, sitting around the roaring fire, relaxing in hammocks and enjoying the hot tub. Plush tents was the perfect place for us friends to spend time together in a beautiful and natural environment. I would advise any one all ages, familes to visit here as it caters for all and a place I believe everyone can enjoy.

This place is amazing! I organised a surprise 30th birthday party for my boyfriend Leo at Plush Tents - couldn't recommend a better venue! From point of booking to point of going home - the staff were excellent - friendly and accommodating, happy to go the extra mile to meet whatever need was required! The site is set in beautiful countryside, making the perfect setting for a weekend away - whatever the occasion. We stayed in the Yurt tents, which are warm and cosy with log burners, and beautifully dressed with ceiling drapes, cushions and a comfortable double bed, Not to mention the hot tub and hammocks, which are the perfect way to chill out and relax,Throughout the night, the staff (Claire, Rosie, Adam and Macca) tended to our fire, kept the music going and contributed to the chilled out and friendly atmosphere, In the morning - bacon and egg buttys with fresh coffee and tea were on tap - with the staff even going out of their way to prepare food for the late risers...! Warm showers, great toilet facilities, a band stand seating area and chill out teepee with bean bags and cool lighting - what more could you want? 5*** rating and cannot wait to go back next year Anna, Leo and friends
