Excellently positioned bell tent glamping between the market town of Horsham, West Sussex and affluent Guilford in Surrey

Nestled between the Surrey Hills and Sussex Weald, Glamping Holiday has been providing guests with a place to escape to the country in style since 2011. We’re the perfect place to stay if you’re looking to enjoy the great outdoors with a touch of glamour.

Autumn in the English countryside is stunning and guests can now enjoy a cosy stay in our insulated yurt which has replaced one of our bell tents on the field this year. Immerse yourselves in the fiery colours of the trees and the crisp, fresh air, all set off by the last of the years sunshine, what better way to enjoy the great outdoors. Plus with the summer season on the field finished and the bell tents packed away, you’ll well and truly have the field to yourselves!

We believe that we have truly taken all the hard work out of camping! Glamping Holiday provides everything you need for a luxury camping experience. Inside the yurt you will find air beds with all the linen, towels and blankets too. This isn’t without lots of decorative touches….. welcome biscuits, lanterns and flowers to name a few. There is a radiator inside the yurt to ensure a cosy stay even on a chilly night. Please note there are NO power sockets inside the yurt/electrical lighting.

There is a picnic table for alfresco dining outside each tent. Wake up on your first morning and enjoy our complimentary breakfast pack with bacon from a local butcher, eggs, rolls and milk. This is as well as a firepit, perfect for toasting the marshmallows provided under the stars. For us one of the best parts of an Autumn glamping break is enjoying the sounds, sights and smells of a real fire. You will receive a complimentary basket of logs on arrival with the option to purchase more prior to/during your stay. Firelighters and kindling are provided.

There are two covered kitchen areas on the field. Inside the cupboards you will find all the kitchen equipment needed for cooking tasty campfire dishes. There is also a gas BBQ and two burner gas rings for those meals that need to be prepared a little quicker! You will find ample undercover seating to ensure an enjoyable dining experience in all weathers. There is an electric socket in one of the kitchens for charging phones etc along with an electric kettle. There isn’t a fridge on site however we do provide you with a commercial grade cool box with ice blocks for keeping perishables cold.

On site is a portable toilet/shower block. The unit consists of 2 flushable toilets and 1 electric shower on the ladies side and a flushable toilet and electric shower on the men's side. The toilet/shower block is 25 metres from the yurt. With no-one else on the field during the Autumn/Winter months guests can benefit from this being a private facility.

Glamping in Autumn is a joy and it can be adventurous or as relaxing as you like. There is endless countryside to explore by bicycle or foot straight from the Glamping field. Several walking routes are provided on site. There is ancient woodland a stones throw away from the

Glamping field and guests can easily join the Wey and Arun canal path for a waterside stroll. If you fancy venturing further afield then the local area has plenty to offer, from Fishers Farm Park for the children just down the road to several National Trust sites a short drive away. There is also a brilliant local pub within walking distance. Further information about what the local area has to offer can be found on our website. There is also an information booklet inside the yurt.

A full list of what we provide is sent out with payment confirmation. However, if you have any particular requirements, please let us know before you arrive. We will then be able to do our best to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible!

If you have any queries regarding staying with us then please ask! Please note we don’t allow dogs on site.

Nestled between the Surrey Hills and Sussex Weald, Glamping Holiday has been providing guests with a place to escape to the country in style since 2011. You can find us on the Springbok Estate in Alfold, a charity run organisation providing housing with support to seafarers in need. We occupy a 2-acre field in front of the main house with the estate’s own campsite in the neighbouring field. Nearby attractions
Guildford, Horsham, Petworth, Chichester, and Cranleigh are not too far away with plenty of places of the eat, drink and attractions to visit. For families with nippers, the ever popular Fishers Farm Park is about a 15 minute drive away. If mum and dad fancy a night out without the kids, Glamping Holiday can arrange a babysitter for the evening. There are some great walking and cycle routes in the area. Bikes can be hired (delivered and collected from the site) and Glamping Holiday kindly provide maps. If equine entertainment is more your bag, there are riding stables at nearby Painshill Farm with trekking right in the heart of the beautiful Surrey Hills.
Food and drink
Guests are provided with a breakfast hamper as part of their stay. There is also coffee, tea, sugar and hot chocolate available. Campers are free to cook on the firepits or use the barbeque if they prefer. The firepits have tripods and casserole dishes, pots and pans are provided. They even supply cook books and marshmallows for roasting over the flames! For something a little less labour intensive, Glamping Holiday’s very own chef, Ros, will prepare food for you and deliver at a time that suits. Prices start from around £7 per person for a delicious Thai green curry. Ros can even make up picnic hampers for a truly special tea. Her desserts are amazing too! Please arrange a week advance.
