Canterbury Camping – Best Campsites Near Canterbury, Kent

Canterbury Camping

Roman walls, a medieval centre and timber-framed homes – the architecture of Canterbury is as cobbled as its streets but Kent's county town is a wonder to visit. With independent shops to nose around, punting on the Great Stour and, of course, Canterbury Cathedral – the seat of the Church of England and the place where Thomas Becket was murdered in 1170, sparking centuries of pilgrimage to Canterbury. Today there is a loyal band of campers, too, who journey here every summer to pitch tents and park campervans at the campsites nearby. As always, only the very best of the Canterbury campsites make it onto our shortlist.
