Grass Pitch

UK England South East England Kent Ashford Little Halden Farm Summer Campsite

  • Sleeps 6 (max 6 adults, 5 children)
Camp in our spacious, flat field with plenty of room for children to run around.

The Owner Says

Our Summer Campsite is limited to just 20 tent pitches in a 6 acre field so you will enjoy plenty of space and choice of where you want to pitch and relax. Hot showers and toilets are available, along with mains water. Campers can drive onto the field and park next to where you pitch. Should the weather make driving on the field not possible, there is plenty of parking not too far away. Firepits can be hired for £5, or you can always bring your own (the farm sells firewood at £5). You will be able to chill out round the campfire, or follow a public footpath to Rolvenden for its well stocked local shop.

The sandy beach of Camber Sands is only 30 minutes away and worth a visit when the weather is playing ball.

Bedgebury Forest & Pinetum are excellent for nature trails, horse riding and mountain biking, whilst the port town of Rye is one of England's most beautiful medieval villages. Other attractions include Leeds Castle and The National Trust-run Bodiam Castle. There's also a steam train that runs between Tenterden and Bodiam Castle, perfect to keep younger kids entertained!

The surrounding area has some lovely little pubs including The Bell in nearby Iden for decent local brews and hearty pub grub. The small village of Rolvenden is a 20-minute stroll from Little Halden. At Rolvenden you will find a well-stocked shop which sells a few essentials, and the local specialty: Korker Sausages. Rolvenden also hosts a farmers market (every Thursday) and boasts its very own micro-brewery. For more shops, bars and restaurants, Tenterden is only a 5 minute drive away.

Great friendly welcome even though we arrived at the glamping by mistake.

Midweek stay for one night, shared entire valley with one other couple. Great location, very quiet and very little light pollution for viewing the night skies, the compost loos were immaculate and the showers were great. You can have your own fires, we used our own basket and bought a large bag of logs for a fiver, great value. Nice walks nearby, trying pubs next time.Looking forward to returning, John the owner could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommended from a seasoned camper.

Peaceful countryside camping

Firstly, I would like to note how Jonathan from Halden Farm was so friendly and made us feel very welcome and settled in. He gave us all the info we needed for our stay. Really does help when you are arriving somewhere new. The field itself was huge with only a few tents spaced far enough so u have privacy but the various kids could get to know each other and play. There are v clean compost toilets and large clean showers. Impressed with how everything is kept so tidy around that area. There’s plenty to do locally... woods (but not on site) steam train, castles etc. Just lovely. Thank you.
