About The Secret Campsite Lewes

A not so secret campsite in East Sussex with camping and glamping - and campfires encouraged

The Owner Says

The Secret Campsite Lewes is a peaceful, wildlife friendly campsite, for real campers, wild glampers and their families. The campsite is surrounded by Ancient woodland and a Site of Nature Conservation Interest. We don't take groups or dogs, and there are no cars in the camping area which allows campers to explore the wildlife that we have encouraged into the site. Each of our secluded camping pitches has its own fire pit for campfires. We provide excellent showers, toilets and washing up facilities with plenty of hot water, and sell take away hot and cold drinks during reception hours. We have recycling facilities and lots of walks from the site, with maps.

Site Facilities

Campfires allowed. We have 12 pitches in the main camping meadow and a further five on the western side of the site near the showers. Two of these are amongst the fruit and nut trees making up our disorganised orchard, and the other three are on a south facing bank nearer to the buildings with views to the South Downs or into the neighbouring woods. Our 3 showers occupy an old stable block along with toilets; compost-loo shacks are nearer the pitches. Trolleys are available to transport your gear to the main meadow. No shop as such, but you can buy firewood at reception..
