Unusually for a campsite, this one is run by a local council and actually sits within the grounds of the town’s park. So while you may not get that away-from-it-all feeling offered by rural campsites, you do have an outdoor heated swimming pool, children’s playground, bowling green, cricket field, pitch and putt, tennis courts, café, cycle hire, and even a croquet lawn on your tent-step.All without the holiday park atmosphere these facilities would usually generate, as this is a quiet, low-key place. The campsite has been here for decades – one caravanner has been returning for more than 30 years now – so the landscaping is established and mature, with a line of weeping willows lounging across the centre and tall hedges offering privacy and shelter from the very minor adjacent road. And while the lido is the big pull for many campers here, Woodhall Spa is a pretty and interesting town that deserves exploration. Full of independent shops and cafés, and with an old-fashioned cinema and tea house just across the road from the site, it also has an interesting history as an Edwardian spa town and base for the RAF 617 (Dambuster) Squadron.
Total of 90 pitches (75 with hook-ups) spread across 5 flat camping areas, 1 for long-term caravans. The toilet/shower (2W, 2M) block is a bit on the municipal side, but it is adequate and regularly cleaned. No campfires.
Tents, campervans, caravans, dogs, groups – yes.
The pool is open end May–early September pretty much all day, every day. A nostalgic visit to the Kinema in the Woods (01526 352166) includes organ music and an intermission to buy sweets and ice creams.
Food & Drink
A mile or so down the road is the small pub and restaurant at Village Limits (01526 353312) – regular winner of local food awards. Head to Just Desserts in town for ice cream treats, and the Bakery & Delicatessen for upmarket picnic fare.

Amazingly helpful staff
We have been going to Jubilee Park for the last 5 years. In the past two years it has had a brand new pool, new shower block on the campsite and a new play park. It just needs new changing rooms and a new public toilet block to make it perfect. Joking aside this is self funding and is a little gem. The people in charge want a big pat on the back as its come on leaps and bounds. The staff are always friendly and keep things sensible in the pool. The campsite needs to be booked early as we have missed out on getting a pitch before and if its hot you want to be at the pool before it opens. We have queued for over and hour before and been turned away when the pool was at capacity. Very annoying to que and then be turned away. I did bring this up with the manager who explained that they have tried a number of different types of sessions over the years and that the current system (although doesn't please everyone) has been the most successful by far. In their defense they advice people to come early or wait until late afternoon (usually quietens down again). I Have found this advice to be very useful. If the pool is open from 10-6, you need to be there at 9.30 or wait untill 4pm (the price is cheaper after 3pm). If you want to spend the whole day then you can but you can't leave the pool. Hope this helps people. I have seen alot of people get frustrated over the years but if you look at the advice first it does really help and its so worth it!
A very friendly, well equipped camp site. The staff were very helpful and the facilities were clean and the site was well maintained.
