There are around 60 non electric pitches, two wash blocks, toilets, shower rooms, baby changing, washing-up sink, a kettle, microwave, freezer and full kitchen in fishing lodge and a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. Campfires are allowed off the ground. Fire pits are available to hire. Fishing is £8 per day.
There's also an open-air cinema and an authentic pizza vanvisits every Saturday through the summer.
Guests also enjoy the educational experience for children that comes with staying on a working farm. They can enjoy an egg collecting trip and more depending on the time of year; there may be calving, bailing or feeding the livestock to experience.
Tents, campervans, trailer tents, caravans, dogs, glampers and groups welcome.
For outdoor activities there’s neighbouring Avalanche Adventures (01858 880613) and the Gliding Centre (01858 880521) at Husbands Bosworth Airfield less than five minutes down the road; both bookable in advance. More sedate alternatives include 18th-century Cottesbrooke Hall (01604 505808) and Althorp House (01604 770107; July-August), the latter being the Spencer family estate, home to Princess Diana’s island grave and a museum. The Kilworth House Hotel (01858 881939), a 10-minute drive away, also has an excellent outdoor theatre in a beautiful wooded glade close to the lake in the grounds of the house.
Food & Drink
On selected Saturday evenings in the summer a woodfired pizza van arrives to make on-site dinners easy; check with reception for availability during your stay. Off site, The Red Lion in Sibbertoft (01858 880011) does great food and is just a mile away and The Wharf Inn at Welford (01858 575075), can be reached by footpath from the site. There's lots more information about places to eat out in the local area on site.

Nuthatch Cabin stay
We have just returned from a weekend at brook meadow - staying in the Nuthatch Cabin and we couldn’t fault the place!!! The staff were warm and friendly on arrival and advised me on lots of nice places to go and places to see. They also offered to change our quilts to the brand new winter tog as we had just hit September but I said we would be fine. The site it’s self was clean and well maintain, the bathrooms were always clean and tidy and never too busy. They had given us the key for the disabled bathroom just to shorten the footfall on the site but this wasn’t needed. Washing up facilities were great too! The kids loved the organic play ground running up and down the mounds and in and out of the wooden houses, and particularly loved the swing rope. The nuthatch cabin itself was AMAZING! Very clean, tidy and homely! The flower and light ceiling was the icing on the cake! The beds were super comfy and the cabin itself was perfect temperature. I would recommend this site to anyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
a lovely relaxed few days
This is a lovely campsite , very friendly staff, clean toilets and showers and not far from plenty of things to do.
Very pleased with the site clean and tidy people very pleasant and a well run operation
Beautiful campsite with a chilled atmosphere
We really enjoyed our stay at Brook Meadow. We were warmly welcomed and the extensive site gave us plenty of choices for a pitch. The toilet block was very clean and well maintained. We were lucky to have good weather so the children could enjoy exploring the small wooded area by the lake and the children’s are in the top field. Awe enjoyed watching the gliders from the local club circling above and star gazing at night. We visited the local Foxton Locks which was a great day out for the whole family and also Wistow Maze which kept us all busy! We would highly recommend this campsite for a relaxing holiday.
A lovely campsite!
We had a lovely few days at Brook Meadows. Staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities are kept clean. We enjoyed the scenery and wildlife. Kids made friends and loved the natural play areas.
We loved our stay at Brook Meadow. Gorgeous site, spacious and with a good choice of sheltered pitches. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. Shame that the utilities were a bit run down - especially the broken toilet door. This said, they were kept very clean. We would definitely come again.
Great site - super friendly staff
Had a lovely stay as a large group of severs families. Sam was super helpful and friendly sorting us into our own area, facilities were clean and well maintained and the site was ideal for families or other groups with loads of space and campfires allowed!! Can’t wait to come back!
Response from Brook Meadow
Thanks Rob - You where a pleasure to have. We hope to welcome you back soon. Sam
Fantastic camp site, lovely pitches, great facilities
Loved how this was a large site but you could still find a nice peaceful spot by the lake. Very good facilities and the people running it are extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended
Response from Brook Meadow
Thank you for your review Debra. We hope to welcome you back to Brook Meadow in the future.
Beautiful site, friendly helpful staff and clean facilities
As a family who don't camp very often, we can't recommend Brook Meadow highly enough. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, offering to block out a space for friends who arrived later so we could all camp together, delivering logs, and asking other campers to quieten down after 12am. The showers and toilets were very clean and cleaned regularly. The whole site is very safe, with a coded barrier for entry. We will definitely be booking in again next year.
Perfect weekend break
A lovely site with friendly staff. We found a great spot right next to the lake and we had plenty of room. Although there were large groups on site we still felt it was a peaceful break and everyone was very respectful of space and noise. There are great little play things to keep younger children occupied and plenty of space for ball games etc. There is one main shower block and a smaller one with kitchen facilities and washing machine. Although there are only 3 toilets & showers (in the ladies block anyway) they were spotlessly clean and I never had to queue. Wash up area was also clean and well maintained. The Red Lion is only a short walk away and the staff there were welcoming and friendly. The pizza van was a bonus on Saturday night. Luckily we got our order in early as they do get very busy, but the pizza was so delicious it is worth the wait! Only criticism is that the shop doesn’t sell food items such as eggs etc. Considering it’s a working farm it would’ve been nice have fresh eggs, but it’s not the end of the world! We will definitely be returning to this gem of a site.
Super helpful staff but pictures of safari tent need updating
The campsite itself is really lovely - we arrived on a very busy Saturday but that staff were amazingly helpful and made sure they looked after everyone. We stayed in the safari tent, which was a great experience with beautiful views of the lakes. I was expecting to be quite isolated from everyone when looking at these pictures but they have recently built another 2 double storey right next to this one which came as a bit of surprise. It is still a lovely place to stay but I wasn't expecting the next door neighbours (even though they were lovely). There is only one toilet and shower block to cater for a lot of campers which are quite a distance from the safari tent. That said, they I didn't ever have to queue and they were always clean.
Lovely relaxed site
We had a lovely long weekend at this site, gorgeous surroundings and the kids spent hours playing on the play area together. Clean facilities and the little shop was handy. We hired a fire pit which was a lovely extra. We will definitely visit again.
We have just come back from a fantastic weekend at Brook Meadow celebrating my dad’s 60th birthday. We booked the Nuthatch for my parents and two pitches. My parents loved the Nuthatch, it was the perfect size and the added extras inside like the hot water bottles and the beautiful floral ceiling made it feel special and cosy. The site is lovely and we really felt like we had our own space. We enjoyed pizzas on the Saturday night which were delicious! We would love to visit again!
Fantastic site. Thoroughly recommended.
Stayed here for 5 nights last week. Absolutely loved it. It was BUSY, but that didn't spoil the enjoyment at all. Toilets (only 2 toilets & 2 urinals) were always clean and the showers were hot and powerful. Loved fishing in the good sized lake. Plenty of fish! Egg-collected with my daughter and went to the cow-shed cinema, which was great fun. Quiet site at night with everyone being respectful. Wonderful Red Kites and Buzzards flying overhead. At one point, 17 birds of prey at once. The staff were really lovely and helpful. They even offered to delay starting the cinema as we were a little bit late. Thoroughly recommended site. I'm certain we'll be back. Thank you Brook Meadow team.
great place great atmosphere
Beautiful site - would 100% recommend
Stay here for 2 nights this past weekend and must say it was one for the best campsites I have stayed at, very friendly staff, amazing facilities and gorgeous surroundings! will definitely be rebooking a second trip :)
Stunning scenery and peaceful breakaway
Had a fantastic time at Brookmeadow. Will definitely be visiting again. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and loved every minute of it. My 2 boys fished all week and relaxed round by the lake. Found the facilities very good and clean. Also all the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend this to any family.
The best campsite we’ve been too!
From the moment we arrived at Brook Meadow we loved it! The warm friendly welcome of Sam in the office, pointing us to the best spot on the site for us. To Rob who amused us with his jokes and supplied us with a nice warm fire pit. All of the staff were very attentive and wanted us to have a great time. As 4 uni friends who live on different sides of the country, we hadn’t seen each other in nearly 2 years, this was the perfect place to meet and have a great weekend. We had the best time and will definitely be returning in the future!
Just what we needed
This is a lovely, clean, attractive campsite. A great family site with the space for the children to run and play, very clean toilet, shower and washing up facilities and lovely views of rolling countryside or a tranquil fishing lake. The owners are accommodating and friendly. We came as two families with children ranging from 13 years to 18 months, it was a lovely venue to get together and reconnect after lockdown and we all had a wonderful time. I would certainly recommend and will look to return in the future.
Beautiful, peaceful, well equipped site.
A beautifully clean, peaceful and well organised site with stunning views over the fishing lake. We parked up near it (although in the wrong place initially) this was soon rectified though and a real treat was the freshly made pizza on the Saturday evening. It was never too much trouble for Rob to get us a fire pit and bags of logs, really helpful friendly staff and great facilities. Will definitely visit again.
Simple and beautiful
A simple campsite with the beautiful setting of the fishing lake which you can camp right by. Facilities were kept clean. The staff seemed friendly and everyone camping there did also. The cinema and pizza was sadly only on Saturday night.
The experience was amazing! The staff is very nice and helpful. Will be back there for sure!
Fantastic family stay in the Nuthatch Cabin!
Just back from a really lovely 2-night stay in Nuthatch; we loved the warm cabin and gorgeous view of the lake. The eco-playground went down well with the kids, and we loved walking round the fishing lake. We'll definitely come again!
The family and I really enjoyed our stay at Brook Meadow. Fantastic campsite with excellent well maintained facilities. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Already planning our return visit!
Wow! Perfect 👌
I came to Brook Meadow in the Campervan and had a grass pitch by the lake, its been idyllic, ive found a happy place. The place is peaceful well thought out, and the staff friendly and professional, checkin was a pleasure. Thanks for my stay I'll be back very soon 10/10
I’ve arrived with my camper for my first visit. I’ve chilled till I can’t chill anymore ! Can’t fault this place. The noises you here are happy laughter birds. Occasionally the tractors in the fields and the launching of gliders. I’ve found a happy place.
Response from Brook Meadow
Thank you for your kind review. We look forward to welcoming you back to Brook Meadow soon, when you are ready to squeeze in some more relaxing :)
Absolute gem of a site! Fell in love!
This place is amazing! We camped 3 nights (grass, non electric pitch) and still felt we could have stayed longer & discovered more hidden gems on the site. Perfect for children of all ages. Choice of field or lake side camping. Pick your own pitch on arrival after reporting to reception to gain access & get maps etc. Field has an “organic play ground” - dropped logs & grass mounds- hours of fun climbing and hiding- imaginations running wild! There’s also pirate camp- camp under the mast! There’s a rope swing and wooden Wendy house on the lake side and endless hidden dens amongst the trees around the lake. Syndicate fishing members on one side & campers on the other. Washing up facilities are clean, bathrooms/toilets are kept clean, shower facilities are available and toasty warm! COVID measures include encouraged social distancing in shared areas. Hand sanitiser at washing up stations and sinks, and disinfectant wipes/spray available in each toilet and sink to clean before and after you use them. Pizza oven available some Saturday nights and cinema in the barn some nights too (although we didn’t get round to going, it’s a lovely idea) Fire pit rental available. Small shop in reception - toiletries, ice creams, snacks, marshmallows & bacon etc, small kids nets to buy for ‘fishing’ on the lake. The only thing is there’s no ice for cool boxes, but there’s a co-op in sibbertoft so a quick drive to stock up on ice was fine. Highly recommend this site to families and groups alike, I struggle to see how it could be improved. In love!
We stayed a couple nights for our first family camping trip and even though we arrived in a gale, we were welcomed by friendly and incredibly helpful staff. Rob eventually helped put our tent up in the wind and frequently came round to check on everyone, brought fire pits and wood around and the setting is beautiful and peaceful. Will be coming again!!
Fabulous & friendly
We stayed from the 17th August for a couple of nights. We had a wonderful stay, the setting was beautiful. We nestled into a corner of the field and there was plenty of space for us. Facilities such as toilets and showers were very good. The lake is a bonus, so peaceful. The staff were welcoming and helpful and available. Rob was always nipping around checking if campers were ok, he helped us with our fire and brought the fire pit and extra logs to the tent at night. We watched a film too in the outdoor cinema. We will be back again!
Definitely go again
Friendly and helpful staff who helped us with everything we needed brought us wood for our fire and set it up for us, great facilities very clean and in a great location and lots to do nearby.
Beautiful but could do better
We stayed for 4 nights at Brook Meadow. On the plus side it has a beautiful setting with the lake and fields. The staff there were very friendly and helpful and my kids loved the outdoor cinema. The free ice pops went down extremely well. The showers were clean and hot and there was plenty of hand sanitiser available. Unfortunately lots of people chose to ignore the 10pm curfew and carried on chatting/playing music into the small hours. In all fairness, the site manager sorted out the worst offenders but it was frustrating to have to call on his services every night (perhaps the curse of the Covid19 campers). I’d personally have liked more sinks in the shower block and a shelf or baskets in which to put my things as inevitably the area around the sinks got very wet. The shop is very small and I think they could make much more of this. As it was we had to make separate trips to the village shops for a pint of milk. I would have also like the option of somewhere to refreeze our ice packs.
The staff were absolutely amazing very friendly and welcoming, the location and the scenery was very beautiful a very good place to get away from the hustle and bustle. After this trip to this campsite i felt refreshed, Its a beautiful place if you enjoy fishing and walking. The other campers were also friendly and not forgetting the children who were welll behaved and polite.
Beautiful lakeside campsite with very friendly people in the office and super clean wash block
I loved the lake which was wonderful to walk right round in the evening. Nice choice of where to pitch, lots of space for children to play (logs to climb on, rope swing, Wendy house, football field, trees to climb). Fire pits to hire, lovely ice cream, run in an eco way, adventure sports next door great for my teenage boys.
A wonderful place to visit!
The best campsite I’ve camped at! Wonderful lake side view, beautiful setting & the staff, who were helpful & friendly. My friend & I were camping with our 2 children for just for one night & the rain was torrential. Rob & the manager of the campsite went above & beyond to help us & keep us dry & warm. I want to say a big thank you for looking after us. The campsite has immaculate toilet & washing facilities, which had all the necessary hand sanitizer stations. The lodges looked fabulous & I will definitely be returning with my husband to go fishing & have a relaxing time. Thank you to Brook Meadow for a wonderful stay!
Idyllic getaway from the fast pace of life....beautiful surroundings
Brook Meadow was absolutely beautiful, restful and made camping a huge pleasure. The showers, toilets and dishwashing facilities were spotless (especially important during covid 19), the welcome was incredibly warming and friendly and Rob goes above and beyond to ensure everyone alike has a fabulous time during their stay. A fire pit and starter kit were delivered to the tent with a smile and good banter and the chilled family atmosphere of the site was a most safe and reassuring feeling, its size made everything easily accessible and they even put on a film once or twice a week for the kiddies and later for adults, superb. Located within 10 minutes of lovely Market Harborough town and the 10 locks of foxes locks where you can spend a day walking, eating, and just enjoying the spectacle. I would love to come back and try out a cabin sometime, they looked fabulous and had a private lakeside area with rope swing and the like to keep the family entertained. Overall couldn't fault it, marvellous place, highly recommend.
Great site. Quiet, friendly, clean and lovely setting. Warden Rob ciuld not have done more for us.
Sweet countryside holiday
The place was simply amazing for our small family of 2A and 2children. The Nuthatch cabin was a home away from home feel, and the owners seem to have tastefully designed it, plus lots of love. There was free coffee and tea bags, hot water bottles, and plenty of space to put up the clothes. Upon booking I had requested bed linen but had been worried that those would not be enough in case the nights were cold, but to my surprise the staff provided us with a feathery duvet, and tons of pillows to lay the most regal of dreams. The nuthatch has lake views no matter where you’re sitting, and no campers are allowed nearby. Will hopefully be back soon, for as long as the government doesn’t lock us up again in our homes.
Great site, nothing is too much trouble
The site is really well run, and the team are always trying to go above and beyond to accommodate you. The layout of the site is good in that it’s not all open and there are parts that are more secluded. However it’s extremely well maintained and the toilets and showers were spotless. The weekend cinema was a nice touch. Would recommend
Fabulous facilities and accommodating staff
We're just back from a gorgeous weekend at Brook Meadow. A brilliantly organised campsite which balances closeness to nature (camp fires, thrashing pikes, dragon flies, woods to walk in after 4pm, beautiful lake, hedgerows) with great organisation, facilities and staff. All the coronavirus measures were helpful. Such a great vibe with everyone respecting noise limitations but still having lotsa fun. Staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating (even went so far as to leave the site to buy us some eggs when their hens had underlaid!). An outdoor movie screening on the Saturday night took the weekend close to perfection. It's over two hours from home in York, but we'll be back.
Great campsite - Clean and friendly with good facilities
We camped with 3 families for 2 nights down by the lakeside. It was very well kept and constantly cleaned. We rented a firepit for both nights and everyone had a great time. On the Sat evening they put on Peter Rabbit for the kids on a large screen and then Mama Mia later on which went down well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Beautiful clean friendly site
This was the only site in the UK with a space after the easing of lockdown so we took our chances, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The location is beautiful, the lake, the quiet, the sunsets, the lovely walk around the lake. The toilet blocks were immaculate, with hand gel, alcohol wipes, disinfectant spray and towels everywhere for us to use, and they were constantly cleaned. The reception was very friendly and helpful, showing us local walks and offering to transport our fire pit to our pitch. "Magic" Rob the warden was also on hand to help if needed and his friendly banter was really nice. The pizza van visit on the Saturday was also quite an event, with pizzas cooked on site. The camping areas were level and tidily mown, and we found a little sheltered corner for our tent next to the lake in the sun/shade which was really pleasant. You need to be aware that large groups and gatherings use the big field and there were several while we were there, but the noise didn't disturb us where we were. There were plenty of recycling bins and the washing up facilities were easily accessible. All in all, a perfect place to do a spot of camping! Thank you team!
Fantastic Site, lovely people
Great to site with some stunning scenery. Immaculate facilities that seemed to be being constantly cleaned by a very friendly chap. Site Warden Rob was a too bloke. The two ladies in reception were friendly and very friendly. I would highly recommend this site and can't really fault it.
Had a fantastic weekend at brook meadow, lovely clean site and facilities and staff were really helpful and great. Definitely recommend
Great stay highly recommend
We arrived a bit early but that wasn't a problem. Everyone was friendly and helpful from the receptionist to the warden. We went for a break and a bit of fishing and enjoyed both. Everything was done to make our stay safe, the toilet/shower block was impeccable clean, with hand sanitizer before entering and spotlessly clean inside as was the washing up area. The hot water doesn't run out either!! The fishing was great and the bailiffs were friendly and helpful. We will return and it's well worth a visit.
Great site have stayed before
Well maintained site. Very good clean facilities ie:toilets and showers etc and nice choice of areas to set up camp. Also staff are very friendly.
Beautiful lakeside campsite
We stayed here for a long weekend and were sorry to leave! Beautiful surroundings, so peaceful and relaxing. Plus the fishing kept the Mr happy! We will definitely be back.
Great local campsite.
Two great camping fields with one next to the lake. We went over an August weekend and whilst there were quite a few in we certainly were not cramped on space, it felt a long way from busy let alone packed. Could probably do with a couple more loos for the ‘morning rush’ but this wasn’t a major problem and the facilities were very clean. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Great to be able to walk the dog amongst the trees at the back of the site. A well run campsite on our doorstep, we’ll be back.
Love it, it’s my “go to” place when I need to relax.
Couldn’t ask for more it’s perfect.
Great lakeside location with great facilities
Off-lead woodland walks for the dog from the lake. Fire pits and disposable BBQs available in the shop (plus bason, sausages etc if you're caught short on supplies). Will definitely return. Lovely mix of families, couples and fishermen so no one group dominates.
Perfect relaxing break
The pirates camp was perfect for our group of three tents. We took up all the space in that area. It gave us lots of space and privacy. It’s perfect if you are a group with a number of tents. Very enjoyable experience and the weather was amazing
Peace and stunning Glamping and cabin
We’ve just had 3 nights here and loved it The Glamping tent was stunning and the cabin was perfect Each place had been put together with such care and attention it really is lovely
We have just returned from Brook Meadow and were more than pleasantly surprised when we pitched up at the lake, in beautiful site in wonderful country setting and glorious weather to top it off. We could honestly not complain about a thing, a nice welcome, relaxed approach to where we could camp and a trusting nature to 'let me know if/how much you fish' was really what we had come away for. The landscape is really spectacular with wildlife all around and there is nothing quite like sitting by the lake at sunset, drinking a few beverages, watching fish jump, swallows circle and the odd kingsfisher making an appearance just to top it off. The showering facilities were the best we have ever experienced - even in other european countries with spotless and well thought of amenities to make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely recommend staying here and with the adventure locals and lovely Market Harborough nearby, you can relax or be as active as you wish.
Our local escape
perfect weekend getaway excellent WC services and showers enough space for kids to at games while mum and dad light the fire Pitt or BBQ and crack open a cold beer or glass of wine will be visit this site again for sure as just 20 mins up the road
I've just got back from a lovely weekend at Brook Meadow with my godsons (8 & 11) and their parents . It's a fantastic well kept site with nice, clean facilities and Vanessa was very welcoming. There is a glider school near by and we had great fun watching them fly (quietly!) over head and got some free aerobatic displays thrown in !! There was plenty of space for the boys to let off steam and we got a really good couple of nights sleep. Plenty of lovely places to visit nearby. I'm being quite harsh with the 4 but it's rare anything earns a 5 with me !!
Great family friendly campsite
A lovely well run campsite with easy access to the motorway. We stayed over the august bank holiday and it was very busy but still nice and quiet at night. I would highly recommend this site for families looking for a relaxing short break.
Nice quiet campsite
We stayed here just for a night on our way to Wales. The campsite was nice and quiet, with plenty of space between pitches. There are plenty of facilities for the size of the site, which were kept very clean.
