Brook Meadow
UK England East Midlands Leicestershire Market Harborough
People seem to fall in love with Brook Meadow – particularly the staff! Fishing bailiff Mick had been coming to the site for years with his wife Pam before taking on his current role; and site manager Vanessa chose the campsite as the venue for her wedding reception before returning to work and live here with her family.
It does feel like a special place to camp. Perhaps it’s the sunsets over the lake? The cattle grazing peacefully in the neighbouring fields? The hundreds of stars clearly visible on a cloud-free night? Or perhaps it’s the philosophy of farmers Jasper and Mary who want people to come and enjoy their land. This even extends to providing free camping for groups of young people hiking and camping towards their Duke of Edinburgh awards.
It’s a peaceful, secluded site with 50 pitches over 15 acres and a five-acre fishing lake. Ducks waddle around and you might catch a glimpse of the resident wildlife – deer, hares, red kites – or hear owls hooting in the night. It feels (and is) very spacious. Some of the best pitches are around the fishing lake on the lower of the two fields (shared with three holiday chalets), although families with kids tend to opt for the top field for The Mound, which kids love to scramble on.
The site has a couple of high-adrenaline neighbours: Avalanche Adventures next door, where you can hire quad bikes or try your hand at clay pigeon shooting and other outdoor activities; and the Gliding Centre at Husbands Bosworth Airfield just down the road, where you can get a birds-eye view of the site as you drift by overhead.

The Owner Says
Brook Meadow is a family run holiday destination open all year. Situated on a working farm, set in 45 acres of trees our visitors are destined to have the perfect caravanning & camping experience. Brook Meadow also offers lodges, camping cabin and a glamping bell tent. You may hear the faint noise of a glider, farm vehicles or children playing, but otherwise you’ll forget all about ‘life outside’ as you drink in the view. We are proud to be family & pet friendly. Brook Meadow is located near Sibbertoft in the heart of rural Leicestershire. Well placed for visitors to enjoy the varied attractions and we endeavour to inspire with our passion for the local and surrounding areas. We also have thrilling experiences to offer on our doorstep with Avalanche Adventure, and the gliding club in easy walking distance too. Please explore our website for all the information you need to make the most of your stay with us. As a family and as a business, Brook Meadow is fully committed to being environmentally friendly and conserving wildlife. To ensure we maintain this commitment, we have worked holistically to uphold these ideals on many levels for many years. We installed photovoltaics to generate the electricity used on site, solar powered water heating, a wood chip boiler powers heating and hot water to the lodges and campsite facilities. Water consumption is reduced through rainwater harvesting and solar powered lighting has been fitted to the glamping tent. Even Mary's chickens have their own rainwater harvesting system in place and a solar powered electric fence to keep the fox away. Our best selling items are locally sourced firewood and the farmhouse ice cream. Produced locally thus reducing energy consumption with deliveries and supporting the rural economy. We've planted extensively to create a fantastic natural habitat for wildlife and we continue to plant hedging, trees and meadow flowers. 50 acres of trees have been planted to date. Camping offers a holiday with a low carbon footprint and you'll reap the health benefits too, clean air, uplifting sunsets, hearing the sights and sounds of leaves rustling and bird song as you immerse in nature, feeling the calming influence being next to the lake.

Highly Recommended
We have just returned from Brook Meadow and were more than pleasantly surprised when we pitched up at the lake, in beautiful site in wonderful country setting and glorious weather to top it off. We could honestly not complain about a thing, a nice welcome, relaxed approach to where we could camp and a trusting nature to 'let me know if/how much you fish' was really what we had come away for. The landscape is really spectacular with wildlife all around and there is nothing quite like sitting by the lake at sunset, drinking a few beverages, watching fish jump, swallows circle and the odd kingsfisher making an appearance just to top it off. The showering facilities were the best we have ever experienced - even in other european countries with spotless and well thought of amenities to make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely recommend staying here and with the adventure locals and lovely Market Harborough nearby, you can relax or be as active as you wish.
Our local escape
perfect weekend getaway excellent WC services and showers enough space for kids to at games while mum and dad light the fire Pitt or BBQ and crack open a cold beer or glass of wine will be visit this site again for sure as just 20 mins up the road
Thumbs up.
I've just got back from a lovely weekend at Brook Meadow with my godsons (8 & 11) and their parents . It's a fantastic well kept site with nice, clean facilities and Vanessa was very welcoming. There is a glider school near by and we had great fun watching them fly (quietly!) over head and got some free aerobatic displays thrown in !! There was plenty of space for the boys to let off steam and we got a really good couple of nights sleep. Plenty of lovely places to visit nearby. I'm being quite harsh with the 4 but it's rare anything earns a 5 with me !!
Great family friendly campsite
A lovely well run campsite with easy access to the motorway. We stayed over the august bank holiday and it was very busy but still nice and quiet at night. I would highly recommend this site for families looking for a relaxing short break.
Nice quiet campsite
We stayed here just for a night on our way to Wales. The campsite was nice and quiet, with plenty of space between pitches. There are plenty of facilities for the size of the site, which were kept very clean.
