A sociable, bohemian, camping and glamping site with brand new facilities and a comfortable clubhouse space
“A boho glamping ground.” That’s how the Such family describe their four-acre paddock on the Leicestershire-Warwickshire border. In fact it’s far more than that. 15 spacious, grass tent pitches, each bordered by a string of atmospheric Edison bulbs, mean that campers are welcome here too. And there are hard-standings and electric points for quirky campervans. And as for 'bohemian'? Well, it certainly fits the bill. Think dream catchers for sale, peacocks strutting their stuff next door and Moroccan rugs cast across the floor of a pink-and-purple-painted clubhouse. Above all else, though, Ettie’s Field is cool. Pure and simple.
At the end of a 200-metre driveway, Ettie’s Field opened in 2018 and occupies a long, hedge-lined meadow, fronted by a newly built clubhouse. This alone is a genius idea. Open until half ten each night, the clubhouse creates a sociable, chilled out focal point, with a paved terrace and huge, floor-to-ceiling glass doors that slide right back to reveal the hammock chairs and sofas inside. Alongside it, four fancy log pods each contain a private shower room with a shower, basin, toilet and changing space, providing the user with utter privacy. Beyond, meanwhile, the green space of the campsite extends.
Closest to the facilities are the two shiny Airstream trailers available for glampers to rent. Inside they have everything a couple could need – think modern, compact kitchen, en-suite bathroom, double bed and television. Next in the paddock, a handful of hardstandings welcome campervans and caravans too (quirky designs and vintage vans only; naturally). Finally, at the far end of the meadow, are the grass camping pitches themselves, which also have their own composting toilet nearby if you can’t be bothered with the 100-metre stroll to the main loos. Bell tents, tipis, canvas castles and home-made tents are all thoroughly encouraged. The quirkier the better here.
While the clubhouse, the campfires and the company of alpacas and donkeys over the fence make for reasons to stay at the campsite, there’s plenty to do nearby. Don’t be fooled by the quiet and the countryside views – it’s only a mile to the A444, which acts as an artery to the outside world. There’s a good pub (The Cock Inn) just beyond the junction and a handful of top attractions within a 10-minute drive. Visit the monkeys at Twycross Zoo, build your own raft at Bosworth Water Park or take a guided tour of the 15th-century battleground that saw the end of the Wars of the Roses and the start of Britain’s Tudor era.
Ettie's Field Clubhouse is open to all our guests, it's open from 8.30am–6pm and in there we have sofas, pellet stove and honesty corner for coffee and tea, there's an honesty box to pop in your pennies! The Boho-tique is open from 10am–12pm and 2pm–5pm and open to non-guests on the weekend from 2pm–5pm. 4 quirky log pods, each containing a shower, toilet, basin and changing space, plus 1 male and 1 female loo. Dish washing area, recycling, BBQ ash point and chemical wast disposal point. A chimenea is available on each pitch for a BBQ and fire, these are the only BBQ's and fires allowed at Ettie's Field unless you use a gas BBQ. Ettie's Field is also home to 4 donkeys, Brahma chickens & Roosters, 3 peacocks & 4 Nubian goats, 2 Highland coos and 2 KuneKune Pigs.
Glampers, Bell Tents, Glawnings, Tipi Tents, Campervans, Airstreams, American RVs, Eribas, t@bs, Tear Drops, Bikers, Roof top tents, Converted Vans (Van Life), Tents, Caravans, couples, families, dogs, gatherings and groups who book the whole site all welcome.
Ettie's Field love children to visit but we have not designed Ettie's with children in mind so if you are looking for a playground, being able to kick a ball, throw frisbees, set up cricket or tennis or fly a kite on your pitch then Ettie's Field is not suitable.
Though it feels quiet and remote, Ettie's Field's proximity to the A444 and A5 means you have immediate access to a whole host of the Midlands' top attractions. It takes less than 10 minutes to drive to Twycross Zoo (0844 474 1777), Market Bosworth (good farmers' market on the fourth Sunday of every month) and the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre (01455 290429). The latter commemorates the Battle of Bosworth in 1485, the last battle of the War of the Roses, in which Richard III was killed and Henry Tudor became king to start the Tudor dynasty. Interactive displays and a modern make-over give the place real family appeal. For watersports fans, rent sailing boats and canoes at Bosworth Water Park (01455 291876; 10 minutes' drive) or stay on dry land and go llama trekking at Lucky Tails Alpaca Farm (01827 820810) 15 minutes away. It's also a 20-minute drive to Drayton Manor Theme Park (01827 287979).
Food & Drink
It takes all of about 15 minutes to walk down the lane to the somewhat dated Gate Inn (01827 715701) Legend has it that famous, 18th-century highwayman Dick Turpin used to hide in the cellar with his horse at Turpins Bar and Grill (01827 880111), a short drive away in Twycross that has taken his name. If you're looking for something special, San Giovanni (01827 881000) in Sheepy Magna is a plush and modern restaurant with designer touches and an excellent, raised terrace open in summer overlooking Sheepy Lake.
The campsite if open all year apart from late January and February. Grass tent pitches, however, are only open from April–October.

Beautiful and Relaxing
What a wonderful relaxing break we had at Etties Field. Owners were fabulous and told us all about the exciting and wonderful new things happening for 2022. The facilities were put of this world. The pitches were huge. The animals were delightful to meet. I loved the story behind Etties and I loved the fact for every booking a tree is planted. The whole experience of staying here was amazing and can't wait to visit again. If you book you certainly won't be disappointed.
A gem of a Glamp site
So as ex campers who have recently upgraded to the world of Glamping, we could not have picked a better site. The facilities are excellent, the toilets and showers are first class and very well kept. The Pitches are large and well kept and each pitch gets their own Chimnea, and there is subtle solar powered lighting that adds a lovely touch. Hosts were very welcoming and the setting is beautiful. There is a great pub 20 minutes from the campsite and the fellow guests were very friendly. As newbies to the scene of glamping we were made to feel very welcome. Will definitely be returning. :-)
Peaceful relaxing stay
Absolutely loved our stay at Etties fields. Easy contactless check in, felt very safe with how this was done. The site is beautiful, so relaxing. The toilets are the best I have ever seen at a site. Such a quirky site, loved the little huts to sit in scattered around the site, the clubhouse was so cool. We used the chimnea on the pitch, perfect setting. Staff very friendly. Loved walking around looking at the animals too. Will be a regular visitor. Thank you for a great stay.
Natural countryside surroundings, spotless pitches and facilities. Added touches such as solar powered festoon lighting really make this a special place. We loved the possibility of the clubhouse if weather is poor or just as an extra space to use. My son adored the donkeys too!
A total well-being and battery top up
First thing on arrival is that you enter another world. Our pitch was surrounded by a border of natural meadow flowers and grasses which frames the pitching area. Solar lights hung between pitches, together with scattered lights hidden along the tracks make it a magical sight at night. The individual toilet shelters are amazing and totally unexpected. The club house would be an ideal sanctuary particularly if the weather is not at its best. Luckily for us it was warm but we still fired up the chiminea, that every pitch has, adding to the ambience. Three Eriba owners were here at the same time which was exciting. Everyone on site, at our time, was friendly and welcoming with a passing greeting adding to the whole experience. Finally the owners welcome was friendly and warm - it’s obvious they care about this unique place - we shall definitely return and see, amongst other things, the wild flower borders in their full glory and take in more of this wonderful find. Thank you
Coolest, most chilled out site ever.
We've been coming to Ettie's for a few years and it's still the coolest place, with the best bathrooms ever. Always new ideas being put in place but still keeps the chilled out vibe. Love it here.
One cool site!
This is most definitely in our top 10 campsites ( and we have been to loads!) Set in beautiful countryside it feels truly peaceful and serene. The pitches are all very generous in size with strips of long grass separating them. The club house and little boutique selling lots of beautiful responsibly sourced crafts make this a uniquely quirky camping experience. Nearby Market Bosworth is a quaint little town with plenty of places to eat and of course there is historic Bosworth Field to visit. We loved everything about this site and will be back soon.
Possibly the best glamping site in the UK?
Everything, especially the owners and creators passion for ensuring Mother Nature thrives all around the campsite! Shower/Loo facilities are a delight and deserve 5 stars on their own! As does the club house, which is a beautiful space to relax, read a book and contemplate future travels :) We'll be back in Nerine our BigBlueBus ASAP... Thank you!
Very peaceful campsite, great facilities
The facilities here are great. A lot of thought has gone into the site. It also looks like more is in development, which will only add to the experience. Possibly worth considering whether or not to bring loud children here. As stated by the site, they are welcome but it's designed as a chilled out campsite with more adult like amenities.
If I had a song to match up the feel of Etties this would be it Tom Petty Wildflowers “You belong among the wildflowers You belong somewhere close to me Far away from your trouble and worries You belong somewhere you feel free Lucy & Caitlyn were so friendly n helpful we can’t wait to come back
We had a very peaceful stay at Etties. A warm welcome, clean hot showers, flushing loos, lovely view, electric. What more does a gosmore ask for..
Experience a magical stay at Ettie’s. It’s not like any other camping site. The fairy lights at night, the beautiful bathroom cabins, the views over the countryside, the lovely people - it’s wonderful. We will definitely be back!
My new favourite!!!
Embarking on my new project converting a van to go camping, this place is such a gem of inspiration!! As with all other reviews this place is just amazing!! The most peaceful place morning, noon and night. The toilets/showers are a pleasure to go to and the club house is just the coolest place to hang out in. Will definitely be going back with my converted van early next year!! Thank you Ettie's Field!!
Beautiful and unique camping experience
I don't have words , you need to experience this beautiful, unique site for yourself. The owners have put so much thought and love in creating a truly lovely space for like-minded people to stay. The field is laid out to perfection in my opinion and the toilet/showers are first class 👌 The clubhouse is actually a gorgeous indoor chill out space with a delightful covered outdoor area too, great for meeting up with family and friends if the weather is not too good. Will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend.
Brilliant...what a gem to discover...
Loved the site, the bathrooms, the wildflower verges, very peaceful and relaxing. Fantastic service from boutique as were on way to wedding and still needed a card....they came up with a perfect one. Home from home....
Highly recommend Etties field , great facilities , location and arrangements . Linds , Don and the team make you feel relaxed and very welcome. Pitches are good size and you have plenty of room around you. Will be a regular stop over weekend location 👍👍
Our new 'go to' place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure how we haven't found this site sooner, but its officially our new 'go to' place for sure! If you want peace and quiet with a beautiful atmosphere and picturesque location - then this is for you! I dont think we have ever been away and come back as relaxed as we did. Was slightly worried about not a lot being there to entertain our 3 year old bot but he loved it! The animals are lovey and friendly, the site is clean and tidy! The clubhouse is just beautifully decorated. The wild flower meadows are an amazing site! Now, for the bathrooms ........... what can i say! Like a previous review we tend to limit showers due to dirty floors, cramped areas but these bathrooms are incredible! Clean, fresh and spacious! Nicer than my own bathroom at home! The boho-tique is just incredible - i could of spent a fortune in here! The stock is amazing! The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Overall..... amazing weekend we had and cant wait to come back!!!!!!!!!! If you want a relaxing break to just chill then this is the place for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exceeded our expectations!
We absolutely loved the opportunity to spend 3 nights at Ettie's Field - we were made very welcome and loved everything about it: the location, the views, the wild flowers, the animals, the shop, the lights, the facilities, the peace and tranquility.....and watching (and then meeting) other like-minded campers arriving with their own unique accommodation. We were looking for something quirky .... and we certainly found it here ..... we will be back!
Etties field is so wonderful, waking up to a beautiful site but also beautiful views. The clubhouse is absolutely fabulous, could have sat in the swings all day long. Toilets/shower rooms spotless and really were something else. Lovely people who live on site who make you feel so welcome. Beautiful walks around the site. Already recommended to lots of friends and family, and hope to return to paradise soon.
Our first visit exceeded all expectations. Great pitch surrounded by wildflowers and space. Chimenea was a good touch. Excellent facilities and the clubhouse was just outstanding. This coincided with a heat wave so sitting in the evening sun with friends having a sundowner was an added bonus. To describe the whole experience as ‘nice’ doesn’t really do it justice but that’s how it felt. Really, really nice.
I just love this place!
This weekend was our 3rd visit to Ettie’s Field. As always, it’s been amazing. This site is everything I want for camping! It’s beautiful, eco friendly, relaxed, lovely animals to visit, chimnea on every pitch, the boho-tique is a must visit! And the campsite owners are so very friendly, welcoming and helpful! One thing that deserves a special mention, is the bathroom facilities! Usually when I go camping, I shower just before leaving, to minimise the amount of times I have to battle wet dirty floors, keeping you clothes dry trying to change in a tinee tiny cubicle and often, paying for the privilege! Not at Ettie’s! Frankly I enjoy using their showers more than my own!! Again, just beautifully done, always immaculate and with a range a fragrance packets, Reed diffusers and room sprays, they smell amazing! This site is like home from home for us and our four dogs, and we plan to return as often as possible!
We had a lovely weekend with great friends
We were very sceptical when we received an e-mail with all the rules and to be honest we needn’t have been it was a lovely site. We didn’t have children with us but there was quiet a few on the site playing ball games which supposedly weren’t allowed. But it didn’t bother us in any way. Toilets and showers were fab the communal lounge looked amazing but wasn’t open due to covid. The lovely wild meadow was a site to be seen absolutely loved it. We will certainly be coming back x
Perfect in every way
Absolutely gorgeous little place. Lovely spacious pitches, loved the lights! Everything about Etties makes it possible to have the most amazing, chilled out stay, surrounded by nature. Facilties absolutely immaculate, quirky and bohemian in equal measure. Loved the little shop and bought some additions for my little van. Will definitely return. Thanks for a beautiful stay xx
Best camping experience EVER
When we eventually meet our maker, we imagine that heaven will look just like Ettie’s field. Perfect in every way. Sshhhhh…don’t tell anyone!
A really special, beautiful site! We love it!!
This was our second trip to Etties, and it won't be our last! We absolutely love it! Perfect for our teardrop trailer set up. Linds and team were so helpful and accommodating when we booked last minute too. The facilities are spotlessly clean and the site itself is beautiful. Pitches are big, so plenty of space for peace and quiet...even with other campers on site - everyone is so friendly and respectful of each other. The onsite boho shop is full of stunning gifts...be prepared to spend! I couldn't resist! Great place for kids to learn about nature and what's around us every day - birds, the sunsets, flowers, goats and donkeys. Stunning place and we create so many happy memories every time we visit. Highly recommend this site! Thank you to Linds and team for making this place so special. X
Response from Ettie's Field
Hi Jenny, thank you so much for your lovely review :) See you all soon! Linds x
Pretty Place but unfortunately the owners are very rude
The reviews of this place are so good but I must say we were anxious because of the strict criteria to stay there. Unfortunately the owners were very rude and abrupt as soon as there was a minor problem. For a place that bills itself as cool and chilled out it is hardly inclusive and sadly the issues that could have been easily dealt with kindness left us all feeling upset and unwelcome.
Response from Ettie's Field
Hi Jenny, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you felt that way. At Ettie's Field we pride ourselves on being approachable and friendly. We work and will continue to work extremely hard for everyone to enjoy their stay. We are constantly adding to Ettie's and during lockdown we planted lots of flowers, 4000 bulbs and sowed millions of wild flowers for everyone to enjoy and also for wildlife habitat. We include information about all of this in an email that is sent to guests 2 days before their stay, we ask guests to acknowledge this by replying to the email with "I Agree" this info is also in the welcome pack on arrival. I was maybe a little short when I spoke with you to ask you and your guests not to park or drive on the wild flowers, I apologise for that. Regarding visitors at Ettie's, this is actually outlined on the booking confirmation asking visitors to leave Ettie's by 7pm we also like to know how many people will be visiting and pay £5 per person. Visitors are more than welcome to visit but our guests who have booked at Ettie's love the quiet chilled atmosphere of the evenings at Ettie's so we expect all visitors to be offsite by 7pm. I don't enjoy asking visitors to leave. Any more concerns please contact me directly. Linds
Wonderful and extremely relaxing.
What is there not to love about Ettie's Field. Even with social distance rules in place, Ettie's Field is a totally relaxed place. The plots are large enough that the space is more than needed and the views to die for. You wake in the morning to the abundance of bird song, with peacock call and donkey brays in the distance. The facilities were spotless, the water hot and with an abundance of sanitiser available, no concerns about sharing. The owners are inspiring, constantly working to improve the site and ensure everything is just so. We only stopped for 2 nights and left wanting to return as soon as we can, a sentiment shared by all the other clampers we talked to.
Something a bit different!
This place really is special, there’s nowhere quite like it. The owners have created a “glamping not camping” site and they have some really beautiful Airstreams to rent, there’s even a gypsy caravan. The attention to detail really cannot be faulted. Each pitch is separated by a string of solar lights and long grasses, the individual bathrooms are second to none and the view is just perfect! After previously visiting in our VW van conversion we tried out renting a “Glawning” - which is a glamorous awning, and glamorous it certainly was! Beautifully decorated in boho Moroccan style with a comfy bed, armchairs and a lovely stove which warmed us up on a chilly October evening. The “club house” is also cosy and decorated to the same gorgeous boho style and it’s warm and welcoming for socialising etc. If you enjoy a bit of luxury then this is the place for you. We shall be returning!
It is a shame to write this review as this is a lovely little campsite with a nice decor and excellent toilets. I also think that after looking at other reviews the owners are probably very nice if everyone is saying nice things about their campsite but I get the impression that if their is a problem then they become very aggressive and rude. However we camped there for 5 nights and over the first few night a lot of Huskies (dogs) started turning up and then they build a massive enclosure for the dogs next to our tent. We got chatting and they said it was a huskie convention but the owner had said she had told everyone. Unfortunately she did not tell us! As you can imagine we were a bit stunned we were now camped in the middle of a lot of huskies plus the other dogs they had bought with them. I went to see the owner who to be honest was rude and dismissive and said it was a dog friendly site and could not see why we had any problem at all. I asked if we could move pitch as we were right in the middle of it and it would be good to move. She said this was impossible and did not see any problem. Although there were lots of empty pitches that remained empty for the remainder of our stay. She said we could leave if we wanted although by this point it would be tricky with my 8 year old son and all our camping gear set up. She did not at any point either say sorry, try and help or even try to understand why this might not be acceptable to be camping in the middle of a huskie convention. She said she had told people staying over the weekend but not us. the other gust there were also upset by all the dogs and even the kids joked about it. On top of this they have a lovely club house, so we decided to spend some time in there to get away from all the dogs and growling. We were then told we had to leave it as they had booked it out for a meeting, so there was no escape! My favourite part was going to the toilet with dogs either side of the path growling and barking at you! The owner of this campsite really ruined our holiday as her attitude was unacceptable and upsetting, although I have to say all the huskie owners were lovely.
A bright, friendly and out of the way place.
We stayed in one of their airstream 'Bumble' in which we only had to bring ourselves and food. It was very well put together and fun to see how everything was tied into the bumblebee theme. It was also nice to be able to shut the door and cosy up on the beds to read or watch the TV while the May Bank holiday weekend weather was windy and unfortunately miserable. The campsite, it's self is so nicely put together and has a very creative/bohemian feel. The shower/toilet pods are ascetically pleasing inside and out (just a bit envious of them). Our boys enjoyed making friends with the donkeys and alpacas, though the peacocks decided to stay away. The dog walking area also doubles as grounds for ball games, which my eldest took full advantage of, along with some of the other families staying that same weekend. Next time we stay, we'd look into camping and staying for a more extended period so that we can fully appreciate just what Ettie's Field has to offer.
