Kessingland Campsite is situated right next door to the rather wonderful Africa Alive wildlife park, whose 80 species of African animals can make you believe you really are in the bush. The glamping the site offers is also an echo of the safari style, with two wonderfully comfortable pre-pitched tents, equipped with everything you need for a fully-fledged family holiday on the Suffolk Coast: two bedrooms with proper beds (they can comfortably sleep four adults or a family of six), a fully stocked kitchenette and an extending living area with an outside verandah where you can sip a drink while living your Out of Africa fantasies.
Elsewhere, the beach is just a mile away, and is a huge sandy expanse with space to spare – you can frolic on the dunes to your heart's content. A short walk away, the Benacre nature reserve offers a chance to spot more traditionally English wildlife, including migrating birds in the spring and autumn, and Lowestoft is just a few miles in the other direction with all the traditional seaside delights.
