The Owner Says

Brand new for 2021, our bespoke designed woodland cabins are nestled in the wooded valley side of our campsite, raised up from the forest floor offering wonderful open views across the camping meadows down to the broad at the front, and historic, private woodland on the other 3 sides.

Our Dens are cleverly built into the sloping ground, enter at ground level to be raised at the front to sleep in the woodland canopy, watch the squirrels scamper and hear the birds sing as you snuggle in with your loved ones around the cosy log burner, or chill on our large hammock slung inside high above the living area. Inside, the quirky design and high specification add a touch of luxury.  Each cabin has its own balcony, decking area and private woodland glade complete with firepit, BBQ, seating and hammocks. you can simply relax and enjoy being immersed in the woodland.

Beyond the branches, the fine city of Norwich is on your doorstep (15 minutes along National Cycle Route 1, with bike hire available), the Broads will be your back garden and, of course, there’s 80 acres of Country Park to explore with woods, broads, rivers, meadows, an outdoor activity centre and play areas (including a play area reserved only for our guests).

.The cabins include:

·         Bedding & towels for 4 persons

·         Shower room with toilet and washbasin –

·         1 x double bed on mezzanine floor, 1 x ‘pull out’ single bed and 1 pull out double bed in the lounge area – all bedding provided.

·         Covered balcony, private decking area and woodland glade with seating, hammock, BBQ and firepit

Love it here

We've stayed at Whitlingham broad in our campervan many times over the last 4 years and love it. Such a laid back friendly site. Several large groups there this weekend but still quiet (except for the owls!). Great facilities and location.

Fantastic site

Stayed in the woodland den and had a brilliant weekend. Kids loved the hammocks and cargo nets. Everything we needed was included. Site was superb. Walked to SUP and paddle board on the lake. Cafe was lovely. Brewery was walking distance.

Good location, but doesn't cater for vans

Nice location, handy for cycling/ walking into Norwich and to walk around the artificial broad/ lake. Showers and toilets are fine. However we were in a campervan, which are allowed on the Lower Field, and found that they have no provision for black or grey waste disposal, which is a drawback for those wanting a stopover to empty out, etc. Fortunately we were moving on to a more accommodating site in days and this wasn't a big problem for us, but I can imagine it would cause big problems for those largely wild camping.

Fantastic campsite

Great place lovely staff Great walks showers and toilets spotless lovely surroundings on the site white horse pub and Crown Point pub in the Trowse village within walking distance enjoyed my stay and will return again

Excellent bank holiday getaway

We had a great stay over the Bank Holiday weekend with our friends on the campsite. The campsite was very chilled out and relaxed with not too many rules. It was great for couples, groups of friends and families. The shop stocked everything that you could've forgotten and the facilities were modern and kept clean through the vast majority of our stay. It was great to be able to rent a fire pit and we liked that you were able to pitch up where you wanted, rather than being given specific plots. The campsite is a very close drive to Norwich centre for some shopping or there were a couple of local pubs that we tried that were recommended on the website. There's lots to see and do around the area, including kayaking and the dry ski slopes, all in walking distance. Would definitely recommend this campsite and we will be back again in the future! Thank you!
