A trio of awesome vintage campervans ready for exploring Snowdonia and beyond.

Based in the heart of one of the UK's most dramatic landscapes, Snowdonia Classic Campers offers adventurers a choice of three retro campervans for the North Wales roadtrip of a lifetime. Bessie, Nell and Poppy are original dubs from the early 1970s and come complete with pop-top roofs, rock and roll beds, plus interior living area and kitchenette (with gas stove and sink).

From their base near Pantglas (where you can also leave your own vehicle free-of-charge), these cool campers are perfect for exploring the wild beauty of Snowdonia National Park. Besides the various Cool Camping-approved campsites with amazing mountain views, Snowdonia is brimming with charming settlements like Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog. The latter is home to the historic Llechwedd Slate Caverns, now an award-winning attraction and host of Zip World. Further west, the breathtaking beaches of the Llŷn Peninsula await. Be sure to visit the sailing mecca of Abersoch, the peculiar Italianate village of Portmeirion (home to Festival Number 6), and the famous beachside-pub Ty Coch Inn at Porthdinllaen beach.

All our campers include full UK insurance for one named driver, breakdown cover, a first aid kit, smoke alarms, gas safety certificate, and more.
Three vintage 1970s VW campervans.

Vintage Campervan Sleeps 4
Over 40 years old, Poppy is a proper style icon, the epitome of retro-chic with her beautiful bright ‘poppy’ red and white paint work, matching curtains and modern interior. Poppy loves nothing more than pulling up and discovering somewhere new.

Vintage Campervan Sleeps 4
Bessie is a right-hand drive, 1974, late Bay campervan, who is fitted with a spacious, westfalia style, pop up roof which provides lots of standing room and ample sleeping space.

Vintage Campervan Sleeps 4
Nell is a right-hand drive, 1973 late Bay camper-van, painted in the same hue as the bluest of summer skies. She loves nothing more than roaring off on her next camping trip, and, we have to say, it’s what she does best.

Vintage Campervan Sleeps 4
Lola is a 2-berth, right-hand drive 1971 early bay camper, and is as blue as the sea. Lola may be vintage, but she is just like new with a new comfy interior and lots of mod cons, but best of all is her elevating roof, with the roof down you can lie in bed and watch the night-time stars.
