There’s no messing about with Lady Blue and Lady Grey – they are straightforward as you would expect from a Yorkshire-based pair. That means there’s no need to stoop inside while you pop the tops up; these two are ready to go as soon as you park up. A good strong cup of Yorkshire tea can be on the way in no time – and, if it’s sunny outside, just pull out the included awning. Of course, as these are compact campers, there are other transformations to be undertaken, with a fold-out table and a swivelling captain’s chair to make the kitchen into the dining room and a few more folds to transform the space for sleeping – but that’s all part of the fun, isn’t it? The kitchen cupboards are stocked with all the equipment you need for four people to cook and eat and there’s even a porta-potty carefully stowed away. Val’s Holiday Vans are based in Richmond: it’s the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and not far to the Lake District, the Yorkshire Moors or even Scotland.
